Acquisition If I Were To Term Paper

If I were to recommend to Acme which firm to acquire, I will recommend the DBC Industries firm which is not located in a country that belongs to the European Union and that does not use the Euro currency. The main factor that I considered in having this choice is the complexity of the firm's location in terms of how its economic stability and capability can affect the company. Since the economy of a country can affect the condition of a company, in terms of direct relation of the location to the company, choosing a firm that is located in an independent country will require simple economic concerns and considerations for ACME as well as for the future of the acquired firm. On the other hand, in choosing a firm that is located in a country that belongs to the European Union, there can be too many risks because the economic condition of the country, particularly the value of the Euro currency which can affect the status of a company, will basically depend on the overall economic performance of all member countries of EU. One disadvantage though in not choosing a firm that is located in EU is that the strong economic force of EU and its member countries, should it continue to succeed, shall be missed out by Acme.

Change in Decision

My decision of choosing DBC Industries will not change if it primarily sells its products to either countries in Europe or to Far East nations and the United States. This is because in both choices, which both comprises quite a number of countries, there will certainly be countries where the company can focus in marketing its products. The important thing to consider is the ability of the company to promote its products through different marketing strategies that appeal to the consumers.
