DC PSD Analysis
The author of this report will be focusing on the strategic plan for a given organization. The organization in question here is the Washington DC Public School District and the strategy summary in question is the 2017 Strategic Plan as authored by that school district. The first third of this report shall focus on the plan itself within its environmental context. There will be a summary and analysis of the key strategic choices as discussed and summarized in the plan. The final two thirds of this report shall be a scholarly literature review of the implications and topics at hand. Specifically, there should be a focus on the fourth goal given in the report. Despite the racial diversity and richness of culture, the ashington, D.C. area seems to be plagued with racial problems. The media are filled with news reports and editorials concerning the discrimination against African-Americans. In particular at issue are numerous accounts of racial profiling by law enforcement. Moreover, in recent years there has been much media discussion concerning discrimination against minorities among home-finance companies.

Leadership Characteristic
George Washington is one of the most well-known figures in the history of United States of America. His finest qualities are everlasting and have need of modest explanation. Not only Washington was a man of incredible uprightness and audacity but he was also a staunch believer in rendering selfless service to the country he was the founder of. His inimitable leadership qualities led his contemporaries to recognize him as "The Father of His Country." Washington possessed an ingenious, consumerist and charitable nature. Abstract This paper compares and contrasts the school funding approaches of the state of Illinois and the District of Columbia. It shows that in Illinois there is a far greater problem of how to achieve a more equitable distribution of funds, though the state is currently setting a course to try to make this happen with its evidence-based model funding formula recently passed this year. In DC on the other hand, a foundation formula is used to disperse funds equitably throughout the District and private investment is obtained to help develop programs that can assist in closing the achievement gap. DC is thus better structured and its school funding approach better supported to achieve success over the long run.

Flight crew resource management is the science of training flight crews to interact and communicate in a highly authoritarian environment while at the same time making use of the intelligence and professional resources of all the members of a flight crew. In the cockpit, the captain is in unquestionable control of the airplane because he is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the flight, including hardware, equipment and personnel on board. However, Each member of the crew can make important contributions, especially during in flight crises, and their input can be thwarted because of the highly authoritarian command culture. This paper examines the issues of fright crew resource management, and seeks to expand the definition of crew resource management to include personal communication style in order to further facilitate professional, accurate and open communication between the flight staff and commander.

Business Acumen
here are many different things that I have done in my career that relate to business acumen. One of these came fairly recently, in July of 2004, when I was asked to plan and execute a dedication ceremony that involved the opening of a Veterans Conference Room in Washington, DC. he auditorium at the VA Headquarters was renovated for this purpose. I was given three months to pull this together and create a program and ceremony that was worthy of this event. In addition to planning this ceremony, the day-to-day activities of myself and my staff had to go on, and there were other notable events that were going on at the same time, such as awards ceremonies, the observance of Veteran's Day, and VA holiday activities. hese were all coordinated and planned during the same time that I was working to create the ceremony for the conference room.

The goal for the ceremony was to be able to accommodate 300 guests. Invitations through various forms were sent out to 2000 total guests who were all stakeholders of the event and the guest of honor. Five areas of the guest of honor's life were also focused on by the video team, including his work in the business community, his military service, his White House service, his work with the Montgomery GI Bill, and the impact that he had on making the VA a cabinet level agency.

In order to foster good relations with the guest of honor, I personally flew to Jackson, Mississippi and met with him and his associates. The project was discussed at that time and the goals and possible needs were also addressed so that everyone involved with the project was prepared for what was going to happen and was ready for any issues that might come up. The meeting was very successful, and also fostered a relationship with Mississippi State University (MSU) which allowed them to provide me with some virtually priceless documents that were displayed by the department at the ceremony and which will also remain in display cases in the conference room forever.

I held team meetings three times per week, conducted visits to the site, and had walk-throughs with my team, as well as the Chief of Staff and others that were involved in the ceremony. The event was planned and executed successfully, and their were over 350 guests that attended the ceremony. This was a significant event for the guest of honor, for myself, and for all that were involved in the planning and the ceremony itself. The guest of honor was extremely pleased with the event, and favorable comments are still being received by my staff and myself. Because I was able to raise the bar and gain strong support for this event, the impact of these efforts ensured that the VA and a grateful nation paid respect for the seemingly tireless efforts of a soldier, citizen, patriot, congressman, and public servant.

The purpose of the NCO as established throughout its history from the very beginning was focus on leadership roles. As the history of the NCEO, the educational component of the NCO shows, academic instruction was a requirement of the program -- the NCEO was indeed established with that in mind, and it has been only recently that hands-n components have been added in order to bring the NCEO into line with the 21st century and as response to the 2001 terrorist scare.
