Personal Development
Careers are sometimes as fleeting as the dreams that encompass them. Often, individuals, in search of a career dream of financial security, the ability to purchase a dream home, or obtaining material possessions that may showcase their wealth or status. There is no lack of ambition and fortitude within individuals in this regard. We all want to achieve success is some form or another. We all aspire for greatness, albeit in varying degrees and capacities (Maslow, 1996). What is lacking however is a concrete method in which to achieve ones desired financial and career goals. The Bureau of Labor Statistics in recent report indicated that individuals change careers approximately 11 times during their lifetime. Many jobs are becoming obsolete as they are either replaced or outsourced overseas. Many jobs are cyclical in nature and thus are only needed during periods of economic euphoria. No matter what the theory is…...

The goals related to the community materialize in that the children will have better access to the desired schools and after years of education they will return as lawyers, doctors or other desired specialists. Personal Development Ethics
Ethics are the most important principles of a community, group and an individual's life. Ethical rules form the basis of a peaceful and content life. For workers, the ethical conduct of their employers is of immense importance as it provides them work place security. An organization or person who respects the ethical code of others is very rare and hence more prized and respected. Personal Development Plan
Over the course of this semester I have spent a great deal of time assessing my own personal strengths and weaknesses as they relate to my future career choices and my ability to work with others, both personally and professionally. I have considered the competencies we have reviewed, and I chose a combination of aspects that relate to my own personal development and my way of relating to others in my work and personal life.
The first competency I selected is self-awareness. For the past several years I've been aware that I've been growing and changing as a person and I've wanted to understand those changes. I interpret my own emotions better and I want to extend that growth to develop a deeper knowledge of how I can organize and drive these changes to enhance my career and personal relationships. I aim to be more aware of how I…...

It enables me to achieve my goals. During my final year while I was pursuing my bachelor's degree in Biology, I passionately taught the elementary students.
Being workaholic is also a value that I greatly cherish. I studied hard while pursuing my undergraduate degree course in Biology. After completing, my hard work enabled me to secure employment at the telecommunications company. I received several awards while working at the firm because of my hard work.
Given the fact that I am a devoted Muslim, I value all the Islamic principles. Similarly, I value family and education. That is what has prompted me to work hard in my studies.

Career Effectiveness
For many in the workforce, the transition to parenthood marks the beginning of their work-family concerns. Policy makers and parents themselves often believe that the solution is a switch from full-time to part-time work (Stacy, 2000). Further, research shows that throughout early parenthood, women exhibit significant movement into and out of the labor force (Hynes and Clarkberg, 2005). Hence, the learner anticipates big adjustments in her career as she maintains work-family balance. Her career is important to her but at the same time she also holds traditional beliefs about women's roles at home. She sees part-time work as a compromise and believes that as long as her working hours are ideal and can accommodate her family's schedule, she can achieve work-family satisfaction.
Another change that the learner expects to see within the next ten years is a career shift from teaching to counseling. Her teaching experiences within the last few…...

personal development plan which I have formulated to identify my career objectives and improve my interpersonal and professional skills. Personal development planning includes a set of questions which try to identify career interests, potentials, and competencies, collect relevant information for future decision making, and personal development matrix to identify short- and long-term goals and their respective actions to be followed.
A personal development plan helps in identifying potentials and competencies in one's personality and finding a good match of these potentials and competencies with his long-term professional goals. This paper presents all the essential steps which must be included in personal development planning process; including identification of potentials and capabilities, testing the abilities and skills, answering all the potential questions which arise when someone tries to choose his professional career, selecting the future goals and defining the roadmap to achieve those goals, collecting and analyzing relevant information for an effective…...

Personal Development
The important part of creating a healthy lifestyle for yourself is to create a plan that makes sense both for your body and your mental makeup, and stick with it to see if it really works. Being in a long-term relationship requires attention to intimate details. The motivation to engage in sexual intimacy can fade with time, even if you love the person. This is "the most common presenting problem at sex therapy clinics" (Impett, et al., 2008). The Impett group conducted three studies to find out if "strong approach goals" -- like fun, growth and development -- predict greater sexual desire (p. 808). The results: "approach relationship goals" helped to "elevate desire"; and individuals with "strong approach goals" enjoyed greater desire when positive relationship events were carried out. I found this to be true, after setting aside Friday nights for dinner, a movie, and romance at home,…...

How I will market the medical business
The success of the medical business will depend on the marketing strategies adopted to create consumer awareness. Marketing, the business, provides it with the opportunity to place itself in a highly competitive market and attract the potential clients in need of its services. As such, adopting multiple marketing techniques will provide the business with the required abilities to acquire the desired market share. One of the marketing strategies that will prove beneficial to the business is using the social media to market the business to the potential clients. Using the social media will entail creating Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages that will be used for marketing a business. Advertising using the social media will create awareness among the potential clients and provide opportunities for referral for the new clients, hence, the success of the business. Promotional services such as providing a…...

Teachers Perceptions towards the value of personal development, health and physical education (PD/H/PE)
The necessity for the furtherance of vigorous, hale and hearty lifestyles among the children and youth is immense. More and more children and youth are subjected to ample social evils and actions that expose their health and lifestyles at peril. This is substantiated by mounting reports of low self-esteem, insufficient nutrition, family troubles, strain, increased drop-out rates, aggression among youths, sexual activity from a young age, rise in smoking habits, reduced physical work, growing incidence of portliness and rise in health risks caused due to more and more desk work among the youth of our nation. The personal development, health and physical education or PD/H/PE is very important to every feature of the standard growth and development of children and youth- not just bodily but social and emotional development also. My subordinates however disagreed with the project and argued it would require extra work for them to become accustomed with the new system. Once again for fear of upsetting them, I renounced my idea. Form now on, in similar situations I will convince them it is in fact a great idea and I will engage them in the process of organizational change. (I am aware that implementing change is often difficult to achieve since the staff is reticent, but I will try to transform change from an unpleasant event occurring on temporary basis into a leadership style and a business model that recognizes the need for constant adaptation to the market and industry requirements)

controversy with regard to personal development and the exact effects that theories concerning this concept have on the masses. Even with this, Dennis Waitley's book "The Psychology of Winning" is certainly one of the most persuading texts with regard to ideas that personal development entails. To a certain degree, Waitley can practically be considered a classic in the modern personal development era, considering that ideas he devised during the eighties are still effective in the contemporary society.
One of the most intriguing things about "The Psychology of Winning" is that it is not necessarily meant to make people become the best in the world. Instead, it is intended to help individuals reach their full potential by making use of their resources gradually and by acknowledging each of their qualities and defects.
This text can be especially valuable in the case of a leader or of a person wanting to become a…...

Collectivism and Individualism; Assessment and Action Plan
Test esults
The development of skills and personal ability to adapt towards collectivist and individualist societies can be a key element in developing an internationalized outlook (Brewster, Sparrow, Vernon, & Houldsworth, 2011). The assessment provided by Johnson, (2015, p.402) gives a score for both individualism and collectivism with the definitions based on the work of Hofstede, (2003). Each score was out of 50, my scores were 30 for individual, and 47 for collectivism. This indicates a greater alignment with collectivism, the approach there is a greater priority given to the needs of the group or community (Johnson, 2015). However, it does highlight a comparative weakness in terms of individualistic behavior, as there are occasions where individualism may be required in the business world.

The questions making up the assessment were interesting, and while some could be answered immediately, others required some consideration, realizing there was the…...

workshop was fascinating in that it taught me that there are many different ways to salary negotiation.
For instance, the common thought has been to decline from naming a price and stating that you would first like to reflect and discuss it with others; then do online or offline research in your chosen field to see average salary in your field. However, recent research seems to indicate, interestingly enough, that settling on a certain price, even as a joke can raise your salary. The researchers, for instance gave the instance of an applicant who joked that she would like to earn a million dollars. The interviewer raised her salary to $300 as much. Interviewers like to see someone who esteems themselves and their capabilities. It makes them esteem that interviewee more.
As regards other principles of salary negotiations, the tips are generally the following:
Be patient -- wait until the interviewer brings…...
