Nursing Personal Improvement Plans
Learning is an essential part of nursing in modern practice. As such, it is important even to keep learning while working within the professional field. Planning for particular stages in one's career and breaking down a realistic time model for strategies to meet those goals help fuels a career that is ripe with development and success.
Personal improvement objectives are a crucial part to any nursing position, whether it is from a brand new employee, to one that is working towards a future advancement in his or her career. The professional development portfolio can help secure that a strong strategic solution is reached to fulfill future objectives. The research states that "since a portfolio is developed over time, it is also provides a way of monitoring professional development" (Oermann, 2002, p 73). The nursing professional gets to continue learning from their actual clinical practice, just as much as…...

This has mainly a promotional and marketing scope: the client needs to feel that the company is responsive to the issues that he or she have identified and is ready to take the necessary measures to correct these problems, even if it means allocating more money in these areas. The actual costs that such a service implies are relatively small, especially since this can also be an online communication services of the YM type that can be employing individuals working from home.
Decrease profit margins
The issue here is relatively simple: lockbuster should decrease its proposed profit margins in order to become more competitive on the online market and be able to increase its future revenues. In this way, with a balanced reduction of costs as well, the company can go from current losses to a potentially profitable business in the near future. The costs can be easily cut by a series…...

For example, managers can increase productivity by assigning the right number of employees to each project, avoiding over- or understaffing. Managers should also be sensitive to interaction problems between employees. When managers are aware of personality conflicts between employees, they should avoid assigning them to the same team.
Increasing productivity involves a careful study of employees' work performance and of managerial decisions, a daunting process in which individuals may feel unfairly singled out or victimized. While this process is painful, it is appropriate when responsibility for low productivity clearly lies with certain individuals. if, however, it is not obvious who the culprits are, the best approach to take is to consider not only individual responsibility, but also search for larger systematic factors behind the low productivity. The problem may be a result of poor management of people and inadequate allocation of resources. Alternatively, it could be the result of an…...

IntroductionThe question of introducing a quality improvement plan to treat hypertension in urgent care is crucial, given the current state of hypertension control in the United States. Mills et al. (2020) argue that hypertension is mostly preventable and controllable. However, progress in improving hypertension control has stalled over the last decade, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted preventive care and presented barriers to hypertension control. Kirkland et al. (2018) emphasize that without improvements in healthy lifestyle behaviors and healthcare delivery, the decade-long improvements in cardiovascular health will erode. Furthermore, Bhutani et al. (2021) and Czeisler et al. (2020) note that the pandemic has led to worsening mental health and unhealthy coping mechanisms such as unhealthy eating and decreased physical activity, further exacerbating hypertension control.Addressing the disparities in hypertension awareness, treatment, and control among racial and ethnic populations in the United States is critical. The Centers for Disease Control and…...

Commitment to Self-ImprovementIntroduction(Left Blank)Personal Mission and VisionThe vision statement is the description of an individuals desired future state as they picture it in their mind (Carrier, 2017). A personal mission, on the other hand, is a statement of ones philosophy, creed, and their lifes purpose. It states the deepest values upon which an individuals existence is based, focusing on what they want to do (achievements and contribution) and what they want to be (Carrier, 2017). As Barney (2020) accurately puts it, the mission states the activities and plan towards which the individual directs their decisions, behaviors, and actions as a means to achieve the vision, which is the desired end. Simply stated, the mission is the plan of how the individual intends to manifest their vision in their daily life (Barney, 2020).My vision is capitalizing on my gifts of optimism, charisma, and intelligence to cultivate the net-worth and self-worth of…...

Health Care Improvements
The health care industry is one that is much criticized in the United States. Many consumers look at this industry as one big giant industry that is only concerned about profitability, not about the health and safety of its customers. The health care industry must make many changes to change their image and provide better service to its customers. Medicare is a government health care insurance that covers 80% of the medical cost for individuals over the age of 65 years. Medicare currently has a bad reputation with its customers and with doctors. It is important for Medicare to change its reputation and build better relationship with customers and with doctors. By changing their image, Medicare will attract more doctors to become participants and this will be a better service for the customers. In this paper I will address some important steps that Medicare could take to change…...

Heated Pool Repair
Currently, the pool at our highschool is used only during the summer months. Many students benefit greatly from this in terms of physical exercise, sports prowess, and simply having fun. The pool is situated at a location that can be closed into an indoor environment. During the summer months, the roof of the premises is removed to provide students with an outdoor pool facility. However, the heating system of the swimming pool is broken, which makes it impossible for students to use the facility, even indoors, during the winter months. Since roughly half of the year is too cold for swimming in unheated waters, this creates a situation during which the pool cannot be used and tends to fall into disrepair. If the heating system is fixed, the pool will benefit both students, the staff, and the financial situation of…...

The best porter's generic strategy is the distinction strategy; this will help the business to differentiate its service delivery in some way that will help to attract customers. This will overcome the wave of supernumerary services and challenger access. This strategy is the best because it will allow the company to institute changes in line with the desired technological requirements. At this point, differentiation of products and services will increase entrance obstacles in terms of technology and other technical requirements and thus eliminate the threat of new entrants. In other terms, a distinctive product or service will also attract clients and reduce the threat of alternative or substitute service provision (Henderson, 2011).
The selected strategic business approach relates with the business components. This is suitable because it goes in line with the porter's standard…...

Improvements to Target's Logistics Processes
As one of the leading retailers in North America, Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) has one of the most advanced logistics, supply chain management and planning systems and series of processes in the retail industry. Target has specifically designed their entire value chain to deliver higher-end electronic products that can compete with WalMart, specifically in the areas of flat screen televisions, laptop computers and increasingly, Apple-branded iPads and iPod products. Target is also using their advanced supply chain processes including Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and eplenishment (CPF) to compete in the high-end women's clothing lines that WalMart is not choosing to compete in (Target Investor elations, 2012). At the close of their latest fiscal year, Target was operating approximately 1,760 stores in 49 states. Improvements in Integrity, Financial Accountability, Ethical Conduct and Corporate Responsibilities under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002
e passed Sarbanes-Oxley in the wake of the Enron scandal to try to root out financial and accounting irregularities. How could similar irregularities occur at Lehman Brothers? History has a way of constantly repeating itself. -- Joseph Grant 2010
The high-profile corporate shenanigans by Enron and Lehman Brothers have made it clear that tough legislation was needed to compel Americans businesses to clean up their financial acts. Indeed, in response to Enron's late 2001 bankruptcy, Congress enacted the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 but the Lehman Brothers' bankruptcy in late 2008 made it clear that there was still a problem in some sectors of American business. This paper provides a review of the relevant literature to determine how the integrity of corporate finance, ethics, and other responsibilities have improved, what the corporate finance industry culture has learned…...

Mayo Qi
Mayo Clinic Quality Improvement (QI) Plan
The Quality Improvement Plan laid out here centers on the Mayo Clinic. The healthcare system has an international reputation for providing patient-focused and cooperative medical care for individuals suffering from the most severe illnesses. In addition to maintaining a highly collaborative atmosphere within which physicians, nurses and practitioners work together to resolve medical challenges, the Mayo Clinic is renowned for its innovations in the areas of service delivery and positive treatment outcomes. This is why the focus of a discussion on Quality Improvement has less to do with improving the Mayo Clinic itself than with demonstrating ways of replicating its successes in other healthcare systems.
Goals/Objectives:
The goal that drives the Mayo Clinic is drawn from a patient-centered treatment philosophy. The Mayo Clinic strives to incorporate its patients in the process of achieving desired treatment outcomes. The clinic uses feedback from patients to improve and acknowledge…...
