Organization Development Plan
Strategic planning is going to be a key aspect in the incipient phases of the organization planning process, taking into account that it presents individuals involved with the opportunity to gain a more complex understanding of the mission as a whole. The SOT analysis will occur at this point, considering that this can provide the company with important information regarding goals and strategies they need to adopt in order to reach them.
Climate surveys would involve observing how the industry functions and reaching out to bodies that are experienced in assisting companies as they grow. Considering that employees and customers are likely to have little to no information regarding expansion at this point, consultants would also help with making it possible for management to effectively deal with the change process. Managers can then get actively involved in efficiently responding to issues that might arise as a consequence of other…...

Planned Change in a Department
Change within the Medical surgery department
There are various factors that occasion change within any organization, some may be due to change in the operations of an organization, some due to expansion, relocation, takeovers, mergers, external forces in economies, internal changes in operation modes or even unprecedented needs as unforeseen at the initial stages. This last one seems to be case within the medical surgery unit in our hospital.
The prevailing condition at the moment that needs a change approach that would improve the conditions within the medical surgery unit and the entire hospital in general is the imbalanced ration between the nurses and the surgery patients currently realized within the unit. The prevailing rate is one nurse within the medical surgery unit handling an average of 6-7 patients which has proven to be too high for a single nurse. The other pertinent problem within the same unit…...

The original farm was a seasonal operation with periods of no production in the winter months. The ability to dry and produce value-added products will allow the business to smooth its income and realize revenue all year round. The new production facility will change the nature of the business from seasonal to year-round. The business will be able to stockpile product during the busy season and sell it on a continual year round basis.
The owners of the business will be directly responsible for the daily operation of the business. They will make joint decision as a body of shareholders, but each will have their own division to manage and operate. Each of the owners will have a stake and a role in the ability to make this new enterprise a success. They will have knowledge of what is happening on the production floor and will have a view of the…...

HP Marketing Plan
Discuss the company's competitors, and the strengths and weaknesses of each
HP is a technology solutions provider to global institutions, to corporate businesses and even to individual consumers. It specializes in a wide span of IT infrastructure, personal computers and access devices, global services and even image printing. By the year 2004, their revenues totaled to $76.8 billion, a firm financial base for such a company (Hewlett-Packard Development Company, 2004).
In the technology solutions market, the fiercest competitors to HP that have been posing challenges in all quarters are Dell and IBM as the closest competitors among other competitors.
Michael Dell is the founder of Dell Computers who had been working as a retailer of IBM computers before he established Dell Computers in 1987. Dell over the years has grown to be known as an enterprise that is good in keeping down the costs and getting efficiency out of its direct…...

Strategic Plan B&B
Strategic Plan for a New Bed and Breakfast
The long-term mission of the Charmed Bed and Breakfast is to become the best bed and breakfast choice in the Santa Cruz County area directly south of the San Francisco Bay area for temporary lodgings by developing a different experience that capitalizes upon personal service, the historical nature of the Charmed building, and its unique location in one of the most attractive parts of the Central California wine country near historic San Francisco.
Vision
It is extremely important for any organization to have a perfect understanding of the marketing mix regarding price. This determining factor is so seemingly obvious, yet so basic to the operation of the bed and breakfast. hat is the highest price that a customer will pay for a room? Setting the incorrect price is often the beginning of the end. It must not be too high or too low.…...

According to the article listed above, what were the most important strategic moves that propelled Netflix’s successful international expansion? According to the article the most important strategic moves related to Netflix’s expansion were associated to its planning. First, Netflix did not attempt to enter all markets simultaneously. Instead, it elected to enter into markets that shared many of the same market characteristic of the United States. Namely, the company was looking for a strong rule of law as it relates to intellectual property, streaming rights and so forth. Next, the market needed a burgeoning middle class similar in to size and scope of the United States. The middle class needed a sufficient amount of discretionary income that was allocated to entertainment purchases. The middle class also needed to have strong employment figures throughout an economic cycle. The country itself needed to be innovative and have the streaming capabilities needed to deliver…...

First, applicants have to be both uninsured and not eligible for Medicaid for other forms of state sponsored insurance. These other recipients are generally adults who are responsible for S-CHIP eligible children, and/or pregnant women. Starbucks and the Potential Expansion into Sri Lanka
The expansion of any company will require careful consideration. The expansion plan will need to facilitate a number of factors, including allowances for the country into which expansion is taking place, as well as the needs of the company in terms of acquisition of resources and training of staff. The plan will need to build on the strengths of the organization, take advantage of opportunities, and minimize the potential dangers that exist as a result of weaknesses and threats. In order to assess the way in which Starbucks may expand into Sri Lanka, it is necessary to look at the company itself before looking at the way in which it may expand.
Company Background
Starbucks is a global brand of gourmet coffee shops. Starting from 1 shop located at Pike placed in Seattle in 1971, it the company has now grown to operations in…...
Travel Today Marketing Plan
The contemporary air travel industry is open to numerous opportunities that any airline can take advantage of as long as the airline meets the set regulations and standards by the individual countries within whose air space the airline intends to cross and operate in. The globalization of transportation has brought universality in the standards that most counties require and Travel Today will effectively benefit from the universal regulations that help regulate and guide the industry.
Global opportunities
One of the most significant market share is the holiday travelers who go across the continents in pursuit of the tour sites that other continents and nations have to offer away from the U.S. This will form a strong global market for Travel Today since the airline will delve in delivering the travelers to Asian and European nations. This will increase the global coverage that the airline will be having outside the…...

Ancient Kingdoms- Expansion and Empire Building
Ancient kingdoms and their expansion strategies were uniform throughout the ancient world. Persia, Rome, Athens and Sparta had expanded their kingdoms by means of conquests, wars and consolidation. The enlargement of kingdoms had but one purpose i.e. security as Thomas Hobbes notes: "If there is no power erected, or not great enough for our security, every man will and may lawfully rely on his own strength for caution against all other men" (99). Greece, Russia and all other major empires of the ancient world had their focus on just one thing, security which they sought through either conquests or consolidation with weaker nations.
It is strange but true that all major empires especially Sparta, Athens and Persia have histories that were interconnected. It was always believed both by the rulers and the ruled that mightier forces had the right to rule and for this reason, weaker…...

Why Many Global Strategies Fail Despite Companies\\\' Powerful Brands and Other Border-Crossing AdvantagesThe purpose of this paper is to examine the various reasons why numerous companies, armed with powerful brands and other border-crossing advantages, struggle to achieve success in their global ventures. Indeed, brands such as Walmart and Target have failed to expand their operations into the German and Canadian markets, respectively, in recent years due in large part to what Ghemawat (2018) describes as an emphasis on size-ism, which fails to appreciate the persistence of differences between countries (p. 4). Certainly, there are other factors that are involved in failed global strategies, though, that must also be taken into account including most especially a lack of due diligence to carefully evaluate the target market and its alignment with the brand. For example, Ghemawat reports that one common reason for global strategy failures is a lack of adaptation to local…...
