Telecommunications And Technology Analysis Research Paper

Technology There are elements that drive successful technology and telecommunications integration and planning for an organization. Management needs to prioritize and evaluate technology used by the organization in day-to-day operations to identify which processes are critical to the organization's ability to conduct operations and which processes can be put on hold during an emergency. Scrambling to deal with technology issues once a disaster has hit is guaranteed to cost an organization.

According to most references concerning telecommuting, people encourage companies to take part in it. They believe it will increase profits and employee performance among other aspects. Since telecommuting can increase productivity and savings, Exelon nuclear can expand itself with its employees. With that in mind, the reduce cost and benefits that comes along with the program would be overwhelming convincing to a company like Exelon nuclear that is always looking for improvements. Since there are many benefits to a telecommuting program, our company, Exelon Nuclear and its employees would benefit from it even on a part-time basis.

In considering the telecommuting program, we must try it on trial basis because others may not be convinced of the stability of it. Jane Anderson, the director of the Midwest Institute for Telecommuting Education suggests that the trial telecommuting program must be evaluated once in the beginning, once in the middle, and once in the end to authenticate efficiency is not suffering. A list of measurable goals must be provided so that we can evaluate the progress....

We should also calculate the present work being executed. After that, Exelon nuclear must determine that against the work being performed at home. This will present management with a tool to compare productivity (Smith, 2010). The next crucial step is to always focus on the benefits that telecommuting can deliver to the company, rather than the traffic jams that employees will be able to avoid. By doing the suggested process, Exelon nuclear and its employees will see the benefits of having a telecommuting program quickly, which would be a great asset to this company (Ross).
