Problems are commonly experienced at interfaces, especially internal, thus to carry out this role the computer systems engineers need to closely scrutinize subsystem-to-subsystem interfaces. While these engineers are trying so hard to design subsystems that will work they also have to keep an eye on each subsystem so that it does not interfere with the others. In order to avoid such problems, computer systems engineers need to posses a wide experience, have relevant and useful knowledge of the domain, and have the interest of learning continuously (Sheared 1996).
Due to the broad viewpoint possessed by computer systems engineers there are is a tendency of companies asking them to coordinate groups and help in the resolution of systems issues with the aim of achieving consensus or making recommendations among divided participants. However, this role is not usually permanent it may be transitory, solution of a specific problem, or coordination of a team or discipline (Sheared 1996). This role requires that in addition to the professional capability, a computer systems engineer should be able to facilitate groups and help them develop their own leadership skills and working norms which makes this role a bit different from the rest.
Ethical issues
The entire profession of engineering does not adhere to a single standard of ethical conduct; this varies relative to the discipline and jurisdiction (Harris 2009). Computer systems engineers who work in the manufacturing industry adhere to various laws such as product liability laws and whistleblowing laws which are less of engineering ethics and more of business ethics. Such laws monitor the conduct of engineers with regard to the community, colleagues, and clients and employers. According to the Code of Ethics observed by the institution of engineers in Australia, engineers have to practice their profession with the interest of the community...
There is, however, a more practical side to this paradigm shift: These four were not surprising, given the economic and regulatory conditions of 2007 to 2009 and their impacts on building owners. Faced with energy spikes in 2007 and 2008 and the recession beginning in 2008, owners found it difficult to set reliable utility budgets and obtain financing for capital projects. As a consequence, social unrest can then be avoided only by subsidies. The town is socially and entinancially heavily burdened. Another problem is that the spontaneous rainwater flow, mixed with wastewater in a heavy downpour, pollutes the river or lake once again and provides more problems for gaining potable water. Scenario 3: As a result of climatic and geological conditions there is little potable water available; the resources are quickly
The Handbook also emphasizes that, "Engineers should be creative, inquisitive, analytical, and detail oriented. They should be able to work as part of a team and to communicate well, both orally and in writing" (Engineers 2010:4). In addition, good communication skills are regarded as important key attributes for engineers who frequently work with professionals from other disciplines (Engineers 2010). Although every employment situation for defense industry engineers will be unique
Some of the key examples of where geospatial information can be important are during emergency responses during natural disasters especially for purposes of evacuation arrangement, and damage estimation assignments. MarcFarlane (2005) indicates that it is important to use geoinformatics to prevent disasters rather than try to deal with them after they happen. Geoinformatics assists those involved in the emergency processes by providing the necessary data and giving appropriate plans
This latter approach, showing the financial benefits of attaining both sustainability initiatives, is far more valuable to the organization in the long run and also protects the company's most important asset, its people and the knowledge they have. Further study of the litany of pains and costs driven by a lack of human sustainability does little to bring valuable solutions to bear on this critical problem. Instead there needs to
Engineers should focus on the improvement of the performance of the economy. This relates to the transformation of the theories of controlling the world and adopting new frameworks in the operating in conjunction with the planet. New engineers need to adopt and implement new theories of focusing on the economic, social, and political concepts in relation to both technical and nontechnical disciplines (Cameron 2010 p.40).
