Successmaker To Raise Reading Scores Research Proposal

It is anticipated that there may be diminishing returns during the sessions where students will show sign of fatigue. Games, token system of food and video games will be used to reinforce the willingness of the participants to continue participating in the program. (Goodloe, Mentavlos & Rose-Baele,2004). After the six-week learning program using the SuccessMaker, students will be evaluated on their reading skills, and the evaluation will be carried out using 30-minutes test to determine the benefits of SuccessMaker. To determine the benefits of the SuccessMaker, both the experimental and the control group will be allowed to participate in the 30-minute tests. Quantitative techniques will be used to record and publish the test scores. The test scores for the experiment group and the control group will be made available in form of tables and graphs.

Research Instruments

Research instruments will consist of desktop computers, SuccessMaker software and headphones. The computers will be used to deliver the reading lessons while the headphones will be used to assist the students with the listening skills. The SuccessMaker software will consist of the integrated course contents that will assist the students in their reading skills. (Fig 1 provides the prototype of the SuccessMaker research instruments).

Analysis

There are several strategies that the study will use to analyze the data to enhance the validity and reliability of the study. First, all the procedures of the proposal will conform to the laid down procedures of the Pearson education.

In addition, both the experimental and control group will take the tests to determine the effectiveness of SuccessMaker...

The descriptive statistics will be used to analysis mass of data recorded. The descriptive statistics will be used to summarize the results of the experimental and control group. The inferential statistics will reveal the extent the SuccessMaker has been able to improve the reading skills of the students. By using quantitative technique for data analysis, there will be reliability and validity of the study. (Trochim & Donnely2007).
Conclusion

The objective of this study is to provide the procedure the SuccessMaker could be used to raise reading scores. The proposal reveals the research design, research method and data analysis. To determine the extent the SuccessMaker could be used to raise the reading scores, total number of 30 students will be used and 15 students will consists of experimental group while other 15 students will consist of control group. The findings of the experiment will enhance the greater understanding of the school administrators on the benefits of SuccessMaker to raise the reading scores.

It is important to determine whether students' have the same motivations and learning ability when the lesson is removed from the multimedia framework. In the end, the student must be able to apply the lessons to reading a book. I researched the existing literature for gaps in knowledge to formulate these research questions. While claims for the educational benefits of Successmaker are positive, they remain largely untested. I looked

("Qualitative vs. Quantitative Data," 2011) The Weaknesses The weaknesses of using each method are limited mainly to their areas of focus. As far as qualitative research is concerned, the main drawback is that we are relying on the research of others. This can be problematic, because if researchers working on a particular project were swayed, the data from their findings could be subjective. In the case of quantitative method, the biggest
