Leading the Team

Individual Evaluation:

The requirements for leadership role include understanding of the inner self as well as the needs of others. The Emotional Intelligence Theory is presented as an evidence for the notion that leaders require to maintain efficient emotional self-awareness, accurate self-awareness, and self-confidence in order to gain self-awareness, The second domain of the theory is with respect to the competencies of self-control, transparency, adaptability, achievement, initiative, and optimism. The personal competence is dependent on the internal and external factors including the emotional state, values, personal standards, and gathering feedback from trainings of the teams (Walsh, 2009).

The social awareness includes the empathy, organizational awareness, and personal service. The relationships management is also one of the significant requirements in team management and leadership. The requirements of relationship management include interpersonal leadership, influence, and development of team members, change, conflict management, team working, and collaboration. The empathetic listening competence is required to enable the unified direction for self and team members. The regular practice I involved in development of empathetic listening and understand of self and others within the team (Walsh, 2009).

The correlation of IQ and emotional Intelligence (EI) is required to understand the male and female members of the team that possess high and Low IQ levels. Similarly the High and Low EI individuals are also present in the teams. It is the responsibility of the team leadership to understand the personality types and deal with the situations accordingly (Walsh, 2009).
The inner belief of the team leadership in achieving organizational objectives and helping the team members to learn skills based on the previous experience is the major challenge faced to incorporate strategy. The skills of the team members are diverse as concluded based on the initial meeting with the members. The variety of skills in different fields will not only enable the team to develop a unique blend of knowledge and experience but at the same time it will also facilitate in developing a successful strategy for entering the new market segment. The team members will be assigned differentiatedtakes based on the skills, knowledge, and experience. Market research, operations, marketing strategy including the development of four Ps for marketing, and execution are functional areas defined as per the project requirements. The team members are designated with the individual tasks and overall responsibility of takes overlook will remain with the team leader.
