Vision and Mission of Allies and the Axis Armies
The Allies power were the United States, Britain and the Soviet Union. However, the Axis were German, Japan and Italy. The mission of allies was to liberate Europe and the Pacific against German insurgency. However, the mission of Axis power was to take over the world and kill all Jews. Typically, many countries fought on the side of allies and axis powers directly and indirectly. Major allied countries that fought during the World War 11 were the United States, Russia and France. However, German, Japan, and Italy fought on the side of the Axis power. Moreover, Britain, Soviet Union and China were the allies however, Finland was not part of the allies.
The overall mission plan of Allies operation was to weaken and break through defense line of the Omaha beaches as well as the Normandy beaches in order to liberate Paris from the German Troops and occupation. The vision of allies was also to use the D-Day tactics that involved using the different types of military planning to hide information from Germans. On June 6, 1944, the operation overload started after midnight landing with airborne soldiers and Allied parachutes just behind the German defense line. The goal of the Allied soldiers was to sabotage the German reinforcement troops that might happen within 6.5 hours. Afterward, the Allied forces destroyed the heavy weapons, bridges as well as seizing the roads and coastal areas to cut down German reinforcement. With the support of French spy team working with the German army, allied was able to sabotage the German communication system. The Allied main mission was also to use the first landing naval feet to demolish the bunker that German established on the beach in order to capture the coastal area as well as clearing off the way for Allied forces for landings that include Trucks, Armed Tanks and other vehicles. Thus, the mission and vision of allied forces were to destroy the German forces through joint actions using the coordination of Normandy and other fronts, breaking the defense line in Omaha and Normandy beaches in order to liberate France from German occupation.
