.....parents of young children, it is important to know how your child interacts and plays and what it means. Play is important because it helps a child's mind to develop and also the child's sense of self and motor skills to begin to grow. Children learn social skills through play, creativity through play; they learn about themselves -- their strong suits, what they can do, sense of confidence, and more. You can encourage and support play for children by taking them to the park where other children play. Your kids can watch, they can mimic, they can interact, or they play together cooperatively -- it all depends upon the stage of development they are in. These stages are also fluid and there is no need to think that they are in one stage at one time. Children will slide in and out of stages as their minds grow and process and reinforce. All the 6 stages of behavior of play are normal in children and helpful in the child's development. You can let your children play alone, with others, watch, or participate -- at parks, museum centers, and any other age appropriate place (Parten, 1933).

I hypothesizes that children at what Piaget would call a preoperational stage do in fact perform complex analysis of numbers and situations, but that they approach this analysis is a tentative and relative way which is open to influence and negation from outside sources. More succinctly: children at early stages do perform conservation but consider it relative to mitigating factors and prone to correction. The following few pages will follow an
Therefore, today's society in the United States is diverse, which is something a social worker needs to understand and know how to deal with each diverse group. Furthermore, through research, it has been discovered most ethnic groups that live in the United States consist of young people, which means by staying in this country, they grow accustom to their surroundings. Children with disability can be made to feel part of the class through social interaction. This can make them know that even though they may seem different outside, they still share the interest, pleasures, concerns and the challenges of life. It is also through social interaction that children with disabilities can have true acceptance, appreciation and friendships that are developed between the children with disabilities and those without the disabilities.
