HR and the Use of Social Media
The technology we use everyday is developing rapidly. One of the greatest trends in technology today is the use of social media. Social media is prevalent in our daily lives and hundreds of thousands of users log on each day. Today, even businesses have begun to tap into the use of social media in regards to tailoring cost effect marketing campaigns to reach their consumer base. However, one area that has not seen a whole lot of research in how social media can be used is in Human Resources. HR is an important part of how businesses function, yet it has been slow to adopt social media as a cost effective way to achieve HR strategies. Thus, there are gaps in regards to how HR might be able to adopt social media practices as a way to improve hiring tactics and other HR strategies that are used in modern business firms and organizations.
