With the ongoing technological advancements, the company needs to analyze and update its systems regularly in order to enhance the effectiveness and speed of their human resource systems. This new system should incorporate all the information that the human resource department uses on a day-to-day basis and permit restricted access to employees outside this department. This is because several processes in the current system within the company have been found disjointed and integration of these processes will result in a more secure, efficient and seamless system. Prior to the installation of the new system, Riordan Manufacturing will need to provide an enormous amount of employee training.

System Requirements:

A typical and effective Human Resource Information Systems provides general management of employee information, analysis and reporting of this information, resume management, and full integration with payroll, financial software and accounting systems. Since the current system at Riordan Manufacturing does not support all these critical aspects, the company needs to upgrade into a new system. The company will be forced into a mandatory system upgrade of the entire company because the current computers are within different ages. The new system will require an overhaul of the company's computers with new ones and self-service data entry interface screens. Furthermore, the company needs to install a strict Windows or MAC only workstation for every worker depending on the department the employee works in. The self-service data entry interface screens will allow the entry and review of appropriate employee data in the system.

This software is also the best for the company's HR needs because it doesn't have a payroll management system while the company has its own financial software.
System Performance:

The new program supports the storage of all employee information in one location, screens for the collection of employee data, and attendance records. The software used in this HRIS application also provides both standard and custom reporting features. Some of the information that is stored in this application includes personal, dependents, benefits, education, injuries, medical history, grievances, training, contacts, well-being, and skills among others. The new application allows flexibility and the future modifications of the information stored in the application.

While the software does not have a payroll management system, it will import payroll data from the company's current financial software. The other performance related features provided by this application are security and restricted access to the human resource information, grievance tracking, and centralized server connection for many servers. The human resource employees at Riordan Manufacturing will be able to view data for other employees at any given time in their specific location. The implementation of the application will necessitate the upgrade of information for all employees using human resource such as managers, human resources personnel, recruiter, payroll personnel, and employee relation specialist. The future modifications and upgrades of information in the new HRIS application will be rooted on the user's position and their frequency in using the information.
