Expansion & Restructuring within a Company
Describes your leadership style model
In this company, I serve as the Managing Director. The main objective of the organization is to expand and restructure its structures, communication, concepts, and culture with the aim of increasing the level of revenues and profits at the end of the financial year. In order to achieve this objective, it is appropriate to adopt and implement my leadership style (Democratic/Participative Leadership). Democratic leadership/participative refers to the leadership style that enables members of the group to take part in the decision-making process. This indicates that the team members will take participative role in the achievement of the objectives and goals in relation to expansion and restructuring of the company (Judge & Robbins, 2007).
This leadership proves to be effective and efficient through depiction of higher productivity, quality contributions, and enhancement of morale of the employees. Democratic leadership increases or encourages the concept of creativity through rewarding of quality participation. Members of the organization will also feel engaged in the process of expansion and restructuring with the aim of realizing the targets. This leadership style provides an opportunity for the group members to share ideas and opinions in an effective environment. Despite this participation by team members in sharing opinions and ideas, the final decision rests with the manager or the leader of the relevant project. Through this leadership style, I have the opportunity to evaluate various views in relation to expansion and restructuring of the concepts and culture of the organization. This is essential for the achievement of an effective approach to achieve the goals and targets (Yuki, 2006).
