¶ … Gender Violence
The study sought to assess the nurses' preparedness in identifying and providing nursing care to women exposed to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and gone for primary medical health care.
State the problem directly from the article.
There is a problem with nurses' capability and preparedness in identifying and providing nursing care to women as subjects of this study harmed by their partners.
Does the problem statement clearly identify the independent and dependent variables? Identify the variables.
The problem clearly identifies the independent and dependent variables. The dependent variables include the provision of healthcare to patients who have suffered from intimate violence while the independent variable is the nurse's preparedness in identifying and providing care to these patients.
c. Does it imply empirical testability?
The study does not imply empirical testability. It is a matter of assessment.
d. Is the population specified within the problem statement?
The population has been specified within the problem. The population here refers to the women who have suffered from the intimate partner violence and have come for primary health care services.
E. Is the problem relevant to nursing?
The problem is relevant to nursing. It relates to nurses who are supposed to have enough equitable know how to manage patient needs. In this case, the patient is a mother who has suffered from the repercussions of intimate partner violence and has come to the heath facility seeking primary health care. The nurses have to be guided by their skills to realize this and be able to dictate and administer every needed medical attention for such patients.
f. State the purpose.
The purpose of the research is to assess the probability of nurses 'capabilities to handle patients with intimate partner violence and have come to the healthcare facility seeking for primary health care.
1. Review of the Literature:
The article has reviewed a variance of information obtained from different studies done in different countries and different healthcare institutions in the world over the issue of IPV. The literature opens the existing gap on the suitability of the nurses to partake of their responsibility of detecting IPV from among patients and advising on the same. What is solidly claimed by the literature is the fact that there is an adversity of IPV in many places and involving different people in the world. IPV is a matter of concern in almost every society. The female gender, as well as the male gender, is suffering from the silent occurrence that always comes and goes without due mechanisms of detecting and controlling them. The literature has dissected IPV into perspectives that can be understood as within different cultures, religions, and lifestyles among others (Sundborg et. al. 2012).
The literature has also opened the lid on the possible personalities that are supposed to shelve the occurrence of this problem making the study. The nurses are the ones to carry out the achievement of the goal to protect the interests of the females facing IPV. The nurses ought to be prepared in that they need to be having enough skills, expertise, equipment, control measures, and medical attendance that will enable them to detect IPV from among women coming for primary health care. Moreover, the literature has explored on how the dangers of IPV can be in the case that they go without being detected. Many women have suffered because nurses have not been able to relay their conditions and treatment of symptoms to the causal mechanisms of the same. In such a case, the need to know how nurses are always ready to carry out this detection process has caused the study to become a reality.
a. Are the independent and dependent variables adequately reviewed?
The independent and the dependent variables have been adequately reviewed. They form the basis of the research topic, the research questions and everything that is needed to achieve the objective of the study. The interconnection of the dependent and the independent variables gives...

Preventing Pressure Ulcers in Nursing Home Patients With growing numbers of the American population joining the elderly ranks, there has been a corresponding increase in the number of residents of long-term care facilities including approximately 16,100 nursing homes in recent years (Palumbo & Mclaughlin, 2011). As a result, there has also been increased interest among clinicians concerning optimal turning and repositioning rates for immobile nursing home patients to reduce pressure ulcers
Nurse led clinical research: neonatal nurses' perceptions and experiences The aims of the study are to understand the experiences of clinical nurses in conducting and utilizing clinical research within their neonatal setting. This is a qualitative study of five neonatal nurses who were interviewed using semi-structured, face-to-face interviews to obtain the study data. This was a phenomenology-based study, which means it was meant to study the overall structure of the nurses experiences
clarity of purpose, research questions or hypothesis were solid and well researched. The strength of the literature review was its focus upon multidisciplinary studies. Unfortunately, it suffered from a lack of complete. The strength of the sampling regime was its focus. Its weakness was the small size of the statistical sample. The wait control feature enhanced ethical considerations. The random assignment of patients enhanced the baseline measurement instruments. Reliability
Nursing Research Develop a nursing research question Does participation in an online community enhance compliance for type II diabetics? Describe how the nursing research question addresses evidence-based practice. Evidence-based practice requires treatment to be based upon rigorous, scientifically-validated tests. It also requires nursing treatment to be administered in a clinically appropriate, cost-effective manner (Pollit & Beck 2008: 4). This study would divide a study sample of recently-diagnosed type II diabetes into two groups, one
