A Recommendation From Supervisor Essay

Recommendation From Manager

To Whom It May Concern:

I could not recommend X to your masters program more highly. He has been working for me for almost three years. During that time, he has been one of my most consistent and reliable performers. As a mechanical engineer, he has a passion for accuracy. This is critical for his type of employment, which involves testing indoor and outdoor substation equipment using instruments like transformers and circuit breakers. He has never missed an alarm during the entire time I have known him as an employee.

He also has an impressive skill set, including maintenance and testing of equipment, and transformer assembly and disassembly. I can trust him to do what is necessary without constantly supervising him. When I have questions, he always answers them with candor and accuracy.

He is also one of my most dedicated employees. He works long shifts, including less desirable night shifts and back-to-back shifts, without complaint or compromised performance. Despite the long hours, I have never seen his performance suffer or his enthusiasm flag. He has also never missed a day of work.

Throughout, he has shown an upbeat attitude and works well on a team, as well as is a strong individual performer. This flexibility, rigor, and competence made him one of my most highly acclaimed...

…by the thoughtfulness which he has shown, as well as his professionalism and ability to communicate. I know he will bring the same skills to study at the masters level and be a great asset to the program, his fellow students, and his teachers.

Yours truly,

X
