I find it interesting that the World Health Organization suggested the use of DDT, a chemical that has proven harmful after research. This makes me wonder whether the WHO has suggested other potentially harmful "remedies" for health concerns without launching a thorough investigation into potential harms first.
In my view, it appears vitally important to first launch investigations into the potential harm of a chemical or remedy before applying it on a worldwide or countrywide scale, as the WHO appears to have suggested with DDT. Surely the research proves that such a strategy is irresponsible at best.
