Scope Statement
The scope of this project is to create an impression of prestige and recreational experience to the visitors by providing them extra-ordinary quality meals, spa, etc. And to facilitate them with games such as golf, snooker, badminton, night clubs, etc. The hotel/club will also facilitate the visitors by online booking of room and swimming pools.
This project will increase the market share of company by at least 40%. The website will facilitate the visitors in prior online booking of rooms and other guest services. By enhancing the website, the company aims to increase the revenues by 20% which is surely possible due to ease in accessibility of internet converting potential guests into actual guests, thanks to internet sales.
Due to rapidly changing technological environment, most of the large hotels will be closed if they do not go online by adopting recent technologies. One of the main reasons for enhancement of website is the same. (Levy. & Powell, 2005)
The scope of this project also includes increasing guest satisfaction by at least 20%. This can be easily achieved through automating the entire hotel and reserving the rooms and other facilities priorly online. The customers will become more technology oriented which can easily be measured through different customer guest surveys taken after the enhancement of the company website.
Deliverables
The automated hotel can be accessed through website using browsers such as internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
The enhanced version of website will be run on web-based server.
Apache will be used as web-server software on the enhanced website.
All types of plastic money/e-money will be accepted by the website.
Paypal will act as the intermediary between guests and hotel.
'Pay per click' tool will be used instead of search engine optimization.
Non-Deliverables
To-Checkout will be used as an additional payment method.
Invoice can be delivered to users in PDF format.
Guests have the right to cancel the transaction online before availing the facility.
PART B
The scope management system will consist of different teams for the maintenance of the enhanced version of website. The presence of these teams will allow the personnel to have more experience and better trouble shoot procedures. The presence of these personnel is expected to reduce the website cost of maintenance by 15-25%.
All those techniques of project management will be used which are effective and efficient and generally adhere to the company standards. These project management techniques will include the continuous introduction of automated systems and processes which will reduce the maintenance costs. This will certainly end-up in terminating all manual tasks which the maintenance team will be doing in the beginning.
Additionally, the enhanced version of company website will be integrated perfectly into the existing systems of hotel reservations and other guest services. Automation of these systems in new version of website will increase the traffic resulting in increased sales revenue for the company.

The enhanced version of website has a very perfect and user-friendly graphical interface involving various video demonstrations. This will help the visitors to find out more about the hotel by posting various queries to the management, online booking systems, online facilities acquiring procedures, etc. (Chaffey et al., 2006)
The enhanced version of the website will be designed in such a way that it gets integrated into the existing systems by reading and saving data to those systems. This website will also maintain a log for the management to review the nature and reactions of traffic on the website. In order to attract more traffic, user will be given the opportunity to view results as he/she wants. This will really create a huge difference between the hotel and its competitors. The enhanced version will be so much user-friendly that the user will have the opportunity to view results as he/she requires.
Some Light on Project Risks
Although it is expected that the enhancement of website will bring a really very positive change for the company, but the hesitation of management for this enhancement of website can result in cancellation of this project.
There are certain budget restrictions as well. The budget for this project of website enhancement will be shared from the existing marketing budget, this might result in improper budget allocation due to lack of expense control at marketing team's end.
This project requires very high caliber technical expertise which is unavailable in the current market scenario. This might result in delayed launch of the new website version.
