Personal Development Plan
Over the course of this semester I have spent a great deal of time assessing my own personal strengths and weaknesses as they relate to my future career choices and my ability to work with others, both personally and professionally. I have considered the competencies we have reviewed, and I chose a combination of aspects that relate to my own personal development and my way of relating to others in my work and personal life.
The first competency I selected is self-awareness. For the past several years I've been aware that I've been growing and changing as a person and I've wanted to understand those changes. I interpret my own emotions better and I want to extend that growth to develop a deeper knowledge of how I can organize and drive these changes to enhance my career and personal relationships. I aim to be more aware of how I interact with others and how I organize my own education and work. Developing more self-awareness of how I feel about issues and experience new situations will guide both my career and my personal relationships, so self-awareness is an aspect of growth that I view as very essential to my success as a person and as an employee.
