Personal Assessment
The author of this report has been asked to do a review and summary of a personal assessment that was completed. The assessment has three major sections, those including learning style, stress handling and a general assessment of relating to humans. Indeed, the ways in which people develop reactions and behaviors around these things shapes their personality, their experiences and how they move about through life. While there is no single "right way" to answer these questions, the author of this response feels that there are some methods and ways of approaching things that are better than others.
When it comes to learning style, there are two major choices. One choice is to watch and listen and the other is to get involve and participate. As with most things, neither answer could or should be used in all situations. There are times where a concept is new and completely foreign. In that case, watching and listening would probably be the best course. However, if there is something where a cursory amount of knowledge and experience is already present, then there is something to be said for jumping in and participating. Regardless, if it is a real-world situation and competent people are already involved, watching and learning is probably the best way to go. When speaking of a controlled and/or test environment where learning is the main goal and reason for doing things, there is no harm in getting into it and learning the lessons....
