These people often feel doubt and lack of confidence when the alteration is being put into place. It is important to implement change at a gradual rate that will allow the people time to regulate to the alteration without feeling snowed under. Selective awareness is also often high amid these people since they are not incorporated in the over all picture of things (Organic Structure vs. Mechanistic Structure, 2007).
Depending on what structure is put into place it is hard to say what opposition an organization will have. If the structure is organic, then alteration will not be so difficult on the company. Nevertheless, if the structure is mechanistic, it may be more opposed to alteration. Alteration influences a company as a whole including the groups and people. It is very significant throughout any alteration that the entire company be informed of what is going on in order to avert a lot of pessimistic outlooks from coming to the surface (Organic Structure vs. Mechanistic Structure, 2007).
4. How might technology affect Indigo's organizational design?
Technology is the mixture of abilities, aptitudes, methods, resources, equipment, and other resources that people utilize in order to transform inputs into outputs. It also applies to services. Technology is present at three levels: individual, which includes personal skills and individual information; functional or departmental, which includes group techniques in order to perform work and create worth; and organizational, which comprises the way inputs are transformed into outputs (Organizational Design Structure, Systems and Information, 2011).
Information, Systems and Technology is the executive design aspect that takes into account the superiority of a company's complete interactions and the effectual arrangement of technology with tactical intention. This part deems whether or not a company has put in place the resources to attain targeted market data, bring into line inside communications schemes to study and put into practice pioneering technologies. Technology can be broken down into four main areas. These include:
Organization Communication
Communicating the strategic plan all the way through the organization
Communicating key goals to all workers
Declaring key performance metrics
Communicating advancement in regards to the key goals
