Organizational Behavior Since long the necessity for quality health care for veterans is considered to be a critical issue with widespread implications in respect of health care system of the nation. Irrespective of the incessant pressure on converting the Veteran Administration into a business model it has been alleged vehemently on the ground that the approach is not conducive to the satisfaction of most veterans, the legislators and even the providers of the health care. The problem of extending acceptable quality health care for the veterans of the nation is to be resolved by constituting public consensus on the issue. Irrespective of its increasing challenges it is believed that the provision of quality health care for the veterans of the nation is considered to be an appropriate objective for this country to maintain. Acknowledging the sacrifices of the veterans, the death of millions of Americans in service, 1.5 million returning home wounded and disabled with the memories of the war forever, the handicapped, blind and paralyzed, post-traumatic disorder suffering veterans, it is quite essential to extend these veterans with quality health care and disability benefits. With this objective in view the foundation for Veterans Health Care with such objectives has been laid down by the Department of Veteran Affairs. The people from all sorts of life, people from private organization, people that extend goods and services facilitate the functioning of VA to perform the job and also to perform better. The VA and the health care facilities are amidst a great change. The assistance to the VA through this process of transition is to be thought of so as to provide every veteran with quality health care. The Health Affairs concerned with two broad missions involving peacetime missions and wartime missions. Presently the health care concentration is on 'force health protection'. The objective is to concentrate on a preventive medicine so as to ensure the peace time health care system the fittest and healthiest force that possibly suggest. The Department of Veteran Affairs Health Care Network Upstate New York has formulated a Statement of Organization Ethics as a code of behavior for employees that provide a consistent, ethical framework for patient care and business operations. It is the responsibility of all the employees within the network, its arrangements, clinics to adhere to the principles and practices as detailed in the policy. The policy envisages the employees must place loyalty to the public trust superseding the personal or organizational private gain so as to avoid a disagreement of interests. It has been made mandatory not to utilize the position, official time, information, property or endorsements for personal gains or private gains. The organization behavior refers to different interdisciplinary field of study related to the activities of the individuals and groups in an organization, and the interaction among the organization and their circumstances. The organizational behavior includes the activities of personnel and groups in an organization. Such activities involve judgment, decision making, cooperation and competition, dedication, contentment, their output and motivation. This involves the systems, structures, cultures and processes within the organizations. All such activities have a profound impact on the activities of the personnel and other people associated with the organization. The organizational behavior also includes the organizational ecology involving the study of founding, growth and demise of staff of the organizations and is closely associated with Sociology. The part of the organizational behavior involves interactions between organizations that are inclusive of interactions between a prime organization and its suppliers, customers, competitors, government agencies and other controlling authorities. This also involves the interactions between the organizations with the society, to illustrate; it involves its interest in the method of response that the organization exerts to the social concerns like gender, family and technological modifications. Leonard, Scholl, Kowalski advocates that the decision-making is considered to be a prime function in organization and the efficiency of the managers depend upon the quality of the decision that they take and ultimately determines the success and failure of the organization. Decision making is associated with the selection of the right choices from the prevailing substitutes. The variations in the decisions taken by different managers prevail as a result of the different level of their efficiency to visualize and address the situation. Some managers are observed of having perfect integrity while others do not possess such. The thinking of some managers is quick while some other managers experience slower methodical and thorough thinking. Some managers like to do the things rather than mere thinking about them. Some are considered to be creative thinkers. All such characteristics combined together constitute the decision styles. The decision styles distinguish between different types of the decision makers. Fernandes, executive director of Myrada, a Non-governmental organization, leadership indicates the intense impulse of performing the things in a different way and the excitement to outrival. The leaders find out the existence of the necessity to do the things differently and they have the confidence that they can perform the one. He further emphasized that the leadership is not about the desire for leadership but depends upon the efficiency to become aware of and perceive the situations and people. Motivation is considered to be very essential and to be added with the commendations and favorable work environment and the culture. It is the duty of the leader to establish an atmosphere of regard openness and trust that caters to the greatest motivating element for employees at the middle and lower level of the organization. The manager found it to be his duty to demonstrate exemplary teamwork through motivation and commitment. With such process they are capable of making the employees evaluate themselves and also to be evaluated by his superiors. On the basis of this they are capable of becoming aware of the skill sets of their employees and to allocate them the specific jobs to perform. The Jobs allocated are required to be consistent with the individual abilities. Moreover, the duty of the leaders also extends to lay down the core principles and values on the basis of which the individuals, teams and the organizations as a whole functions. These core principles and values remain constant for a long period of time while the priorities and methods may vary over the period of time. They also successfully serve the purpose of the extending motivation and encouragement to the employees for steering their performance towards achieving the goals and objectives of the organization with greater commitment and enthusiasm. The behavior analysis entails the managers with the instrument that they require to become more efficient, starting with educating them to improve more effective personal relationships. Managers and supervisors those are aware of and utilize the primary behavioral concepts of reinforcement that will be well versed by their employees and have high performing teams.
