We will continue to work regionally and with like-minded partners in order to advance negotiations that address the permanent-status issues: security for Israelis and Palestinians; borders, refugees, and Jerusalem. We also seek international support to build the institutions upon which a Palestinian state will depend, while supporting economic development that can bring opportunity to its people. Any Arab-Israeli peace will only be lasting if harmful regional interference ends and constructive regional support deepens. This is when the different sides will stop fighting over territory. Instead, they will begin to concentrate on how they can live ordinary lives. At the same time, the various governments can address the critical needs of communities. This will help to improve the standard of living. Moreover, it will encourage increased amounts of commerce throughout the region. As a result, addressing the Arab-Israeli conflict will provide the conditions to promote peace and security.
