Personal Statement
My Ultimate Goal
I sincerely thank you for your consideration of my application to attain a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Colorado Denver. My main professional objective is to achieve a professorship at Kuwait University. But first I must obtain my MPA and gain the necessary skills and experience in that field, which I am very eager -- and highly qualified -- to do.
My Relevant Experiences
My educational and professional experiences clearly reflect that I have a very strong personal commitment to scholarship, leadership and learning. I currently hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Logistics, and I hold a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance.
In the Bachelor of Science program at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, Egypt, in 2013, I finished my degree in the top 1% of my class; I graduated with a 3.82 (the top GPA was 4.0).
In the Master of Science program at Bangor University in the United Kingdom in 2015 -- during which I was on a scholarship -- I was again in the top 1% of my class. I was also a student representative, and I took advanced courses in finance management, financial statement analysis,
I planned and coordinated logistics and materials for board meetings; I processed client rebate reconciliation and served as important corporate liaison between the IT, marketing and finance departments.
How will an MPA degree influence my career choices?
My current degrees -- in business administration and accounting / finance -- relate to the pivotal skills I need to continue to climb the ladder of competency in the fields of business and finance. As a person driven to not only succeed personally but to make a contribution and a positive difference in the community, I have always had a passion for upgrading my knowledge and skills so that my innate leadership skills may come to full fruition.
With my existing educational and professional background, and a Masters in Public Administration, I will be in a position to achieve a level of competency to implement policies, programs and specific projects that help solve problems in our society. In addition, with my exceptional abilities in interpersonal communication -- which I took several courses and worked very diligently to…
