Discipline

For poor performance, the first step involves a detailed performance review with the employee, identifying specific areas of concern and setting clear expectations for improvement. A performance improvement plan (PIP) may be collaboratively developed to provide guidance and support. Regular check-ins will be scheduled to monitor progress. In cases of suspected criminal activity, the company will prioritize the safety and well-being of the entire team. Any allegations or concerns will be thoroughly investigated, and the appropriate authorities will be contacted if necessary. The company will adhere to all relevant legal procedures and obligations throughout the investigative process.

Telecommuting policy

The company allows unlimited telecommuting for all key members at their discretion as part of their employment contracts; new hires will be allowed to formally request telecommuting alternative arrangements which will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

Making reasonable accommodation for an employee in compliance with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

In the case of ADA, employees requiring accommodation due to a disability will be encouraged to engage in an interactive process with the founder to discuss their specific needs. Reasonable accommodations may include adjustments to work hours, modified duties, or changes to the work environment to ensure equal opportunities for employees with disabilities. For employees eligible for FMLA, the company will follow the guidelines set forth by the act to provide up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave for qualifying reasons, such as the employee's own serious health condition or the need to care for a family member with a serious health condition. During FMLA leave, the company will maintain health benefits, and the employees position or an equivalent will be available upon return.
