I have chosen the CLC's company is Macy's INC, a departmental store headquartered in New York City. The company sells a lot of merchandise, ranging from accessory wear to apparel. As a company, certain external and internal factors might impact its performance, thus the need for various sources of information to conduct strategic planning. The strategy club website, the government websites, and the GCU library are good sources for strategic analysis data.
The strategy club website contains essential information necessary for conducting and creating strategic analyses and plans. The website contains academic resources that explain the latest techniques, concepts, and tools used by global organizations in management. The academic resources it has; include creating a vision and mission statement, a fundamental guide that steers a company to achieve its objectives (Campbell & Tawadey,2016). It also contains a sample strategic plan and templates that guide students to create a SWOT analysis. Swot analysis is essential for Macy's as it is a strategic management tool that identifies an organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
