The contemporary nursing fraternity is going through high rates of attrition which has seen several nurses transfer to other professions ads well as a low number of new students enrolling to pursue the profession. This means that there is absolute need for the change in approach by the leadership to ensure those who are in the practice are effective to cover up for the low number of nurses as well as to retain them in the practice. The nurse leaders have a direct bearing in ensuring the care quality is improved, the complex and fast changing nursing environment needs health care leaders who can make their optimal contributions towards making the safe and effective care...

I also have enrolled for further classes in management so that it can help me in fusing the nursing profession with it and have a significant impact at my work. The career planning has also been at the competent level since I have a target level that I look forward to achieving within the next five years, I also fully understand my role within the healthcare facility I am currently working at as well as a well cut out career path that I am pursuing. I would also put the personal journey discipline at the competent level since I have significantly positive and effective leadership within the department and contribute immensely in problem solving whenever they arise. I also like to carry myself as a leader knowing that in every decision and action that I take there are people looking up to me for example.
