Ensuring that the workforce is focused and always motivated can be a very tricky skill for most employers to master particularly when there is a stretch of time and resources. For Richard Branson this seems like an insurmountable challenge with the size of Virgin group and the diverse companies under it. Richard Branson has recognized the influence that the culture of the company has over the members of staff. There are two key ways that Richard Branson is likely to motivate employees in order for him to achieve hos goals for the Virgin Group. The first way is through inviting them to take part in the company events like the Virgin Live Free fest this provides an opportunity for the employees to enjoy themselves and this sense of fun is what unites the employees to the organization and hence they feel as though they are part of it .through this the employees are engaged and things are kept exciting .this will lead to an increased employee enthusiasm which pays off as the employees tend to stay on in the company longer, build on their individual skills, contribute their ideas to the company and end up taking a real interest in the business (Preston, 2010).

Another thing for employee motivation is ensuring that the short-in -- the -- arm businesses retain the core values of the entire company.an example is the Galactic Unite launched by Virgin groups aimed at proving scholarships female students who are pursing degrees in technology, engineering and mathematics. Richard Branson has the ability to articulate and communicate his vision for the company to employees and other stakeholders of the company quite effectively. Virgin group places a great focus on the people and the planet and hence he ensures that he communicates this interest to the employees and stakeholders of the company. He has confronted this through holding a series of talks for the company employees where they are encouraged to talk freely on their thoughts of the vision of the company. This is important as Richard Branson ensures that he included the employees when it comes to talking any problems that might rise in the course of the company's operations. He is also able to communicate and articulate the visions of the company to the rest of the stakeholders of the company through organizing seminars, meetings where they are briefed and taken through the company's visions. This is what has enabled the company to continue to grow and excel in its operations since the vision is well-known to the employees and the stakeholder. The employees and other stakeholders now work towards accomplishing the vision of the organization. Therefore his ability to aricu8late and communicate his vision for his company is quite effective for the success of the entire organization.
