Improving Nurse-Patient Relationship

Introduction

The nurses from the major core health personnel in the health care system with their support being appreciated on different occasions. However, the relationship between the nurses and the patients is essential in every scenario. The relationship forms the comprehensive interaction between the nurses and the patients.

This research focuses on how the existing relationship between these individuals can be strengthened by improving the skills necessary to handle every characters patients while striving to achieve the gold standard of treatment.

Nurses are charged with the sole responsibility to ensuring the continuity of the communication between them and the patients through literacy acquisition and the spread of impacts and importance of the relationship to the patients that will see the patients served diligently to satisfaction.

These relationship cues range from behavioral, technical, better communication skills, building partnerships in the treatment process, adherence to the patients medications, and psychological relevance.

The project seeks to tentatively analyze these relationship cues and their implications as far as health care provision is concerned and their ultimate influence on the patients health, and the overall influence on decision making.

Literature review

Many publications have been made that covers the activities of the health care workers within the health care system; however, this literature review captures the relationship that exists between the medical nurses and the patients, the implication and how it affects the delivery of services in different hospitals under interest and area of study (Hartley et al., 2020).

The literature understudy in this context seeks to acquire the information from the online sources, including the journals, articles around the thematic concern, while exhausting the English language-based sources and any other articles that will be relevant to the topic under the research.

Amongst the many concerns chosen for these studies are the nurses role, psychological interventions, and implications on the patients in concurrence to their behaviors and how each relates to each other in the clinical setup.

A myriad of factors determines the relationship between the nurses and the patients and how they aim to improve the relationship between these two groups of people (Konlan et al., 2021). These rare; nature of the care that the nurse provides, to what degree is the dignity of the patient maintained, the support showed and the empathy, proper communication, and detailed information, the equipped professional and competence skills in nurses, the family, and social background of the patient and some of the environmental factors.

These factors improve the relationship between these two groups and ultimately influence the patients prognosis, treatment, and overall satisfaction.

The care provided;

Essentially, the nurse should take care of the patients needs; this is the goal standard of the interaction between these two individuals in any clinical setup. The nurse is expected to respect the patient in whichever means, treat the patients equally with the utmost dignity and observe their right to treatment and proper medication at all cost.

Different cases often arise in which the patient is well informed and educated about their particular illnesses or whatever reasons they visited a health care facility, the nurse is expected to respond to their opinions without critics and correct them with respect where applicable; moreover, the care provided should be of a high standard in accordance to the ability of the facility and the infection at hand (Feo et al., 2020). This way, the relationship between the nurse and the patient is so improved, and the confidence is boosted if the patient has to visit a similar center in the latter days.

The patients are also expected to be fully involved in the decision-making process, direct and full participation in...

…focuses on just one particular hospital. The information achieved cannot generalize the nurse-patient relationship findings in other hospitals (Hartley et al., 2020).

Also, this qualitative research makes it impossible to achieve neutrality and is not prcised to the study, thereby limiting its accuracy.

In conclusion, this research literature review has exhausted the possible measures that will be needed to investigate that promotes and improves the relationship between the nurse-patient relationship.
