Staffing can be defined as the method of determining and providing the acceptable number and mix nursing personnel to produce a desired level of acre to meet the patients demand (Mike. Richard, 2009). It's purposely to provide the nursing unit with an appropriate and an acceptable number of workers in each unit to perform the nursing task as required. The unit requires a mixture of personnel with adversely unique skills which will affect the quality and quantity of the work performed (Janne Dunham.Taylor, 2010).
However, the requirements when doing staffing in a unit are different depending with a unit you work and the hospital or clinic. Therefore, a minimum staffing needed for each unit skill level to which is determined by the nurse patient ration guidelines and patient care needs and staffing plan in each unit.
