This research study concludes that Hershey's is more popular than Tootsie Roll because of its versatility and ability to be used for things other than just eating. The study is important in the ability to assess the competitive landscape between Hershey's and Tootsie Roll. This research would suggest that Hershey's is clearly the leader and that for reasons that go beyond the immediate satisfaction, it will remain so in the future.
