Strategic Plan for Diode Company
Diode Company is a non-profit making organization whose main mission is to help the people living with disabilities within the society work conductively at their place of work. The welfare group was started as a smallholder group to help benefit a small section of the then society but has now grown to such big level that people now respect it and has consequently attracted the leadership of the entire corporate arena. Having grown to such big level as can be seen in the capacity it hands, it is a fact that there is a need to plan its continuous growth strategically. The future of the organization is centered on helping people live according to the wishes and dreams of all those who live by it. Therefore, a strategic plan on how to grow it to cover the many areas of interest has become necessary. In fact, everyone interested in meeting the objective demands of the organization can do so by participating in the formulation of the strategic plan. This paper is about the strategic plan on how to revive and build the organization to a greater height.
SWOT Analysis
As an element of prosperity in the organization, it is important to build a network that revolves around the creation of an environment where people can understand the importance of conducting research and appreciating effort. As noted in the case of people who are focused on bringing better results to the main domain of leadership, a SWOT analysis seeks to highlight the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that an organization faces. They play a role in creating an environment where the consultative approach to issues is encouraged. This helps reduce any cases of failed leadership that may result from it.
Strengths
Some strength arises from the fact that the leadership of the organization desires to help an important group in the society. The disadvantaged members of the society are many, and their plight is genuine. In essence, their place in the society is guided by a systemic believe that they all subscribe to a faith and a commitment to better where they are. Having known the place where they are and what they need, it is the expectation of those in leadership to ensure that everyone who is needed in the workplace has the good working environment. It is in this quest to be right with the authorities that the leadership of any organization will dispense money to be used in the process of growing them. As seen from the growing levels of concern relating to the leadership structure, there is merit in the way things are done (Brightman & Edgar, 2005). The fact that the objectives of the group are genuinely popular serves strength to the cause. Therefore, the management of an organization must work towards growing this group to the desired height.
Weaknesses
As a non-profit making organization, finances can be a problem to its cause. This is because its sources of finances are not guaranteed as most people always handle this issue with least seriousness as they would handle a business-oriented entity. The government is expected to spearhead efforts for the funding of the organization and as such will be expected to contribute as well as rally the rest of the sponsors to do it. However, this hardly happens, as the people are always interested in building networks that bind them to meet the objectives of the organization. It can be a challenge handling all the welfare needs of the physically challenged at the workplace with limited finances. All the efforts that must be handled must emanate from a circumstance that carries some sustainable flow of events. Looking at the way the leaders of most non-profit making organizations strain to bring results to the table amidst financial challenges makes the work difficult. It is important for everyone to get the required help so that the desired success can be realized in the quest for improvement. Therefore, the presence of financial barriers is a setback to a smooth realization of goals. The more the leadership is embroiled in squabbles about its leadership, the worst the outcome gets for the already vulnerable group of people. One other weakness is in the fact that the execution of the challenges of the disabled calls for the policy that makes it a fundamental obligation to the management. As it is now, the status of a policy has not been attained. In the pursuit of good practice by these leaders, it has become necessary to handle all the duties of this nature of a consultative nature. Therefore, in the wake of consultative decision-making processes, it is...
