Higher education is viewed to increase further. New information technologies will open more doors to new knowledge and to a wider, more varied audiences of learners. This is the perceived scenario as the different strata of access and usage patterns continue to be overcome. The non-university sector of education and other providers of lifelong learning are projected to gain equal and heightened importance. Globalization will certainly assert its influence. Universities will join the competitive scene. Europeanization within the context of globalization will accrue to a more market-equipped control and to increasing intercontinental competition. There will be the interplay among the elements of innovation, sustenance and further development of social resources, and the skillful use of natural resources.
