¶ … Emotions, Attitudes, and Job Satisfaction Emotional intelligence refers to the field of knowledge that portrays an individual's or an organization's ability to demonstrate concern, understanding and care for other people's emotions. It applies to both business interactions and individual interactions (Goleman, 2012). There is serious need to understand the psychology of those we deal with and how we can match with ours. A good emotional intelligence comes with an individual or an organization understanding itself and understanding the other people that they are in a relationship together. This paper discusses Trader Joe Company's emotional intelligence and its effects on business endeavors. The study focuses on the benefits of having an appropriate emotional intelligence program in the overall course of the business.

Organizational behavior models postulate the need to have a good business relationship with clients and other individuals related to the business in one way or other entities related in terms of business. Since it is a part of good public relations, it will help the overall agenda of reaching out and pleasing the customers and other external stakeholders. From the case study of Trader Joe Company, there is a clear testimony that with its deliberate efforts to apply emotional intelligence, it has been able to perform better than the competitors in the industry have (Luthans, 2011).

Individual differences affect the way people in a company relate. Temperaments influence a person's traits. By extension, they will affect how he or she relates to the rest of the people at work.
