Looked at from another perspective, successful leadership differs from effective leadership on the basis of emphasis. In basic terms, organizational effectiveness has got to do with the ability of an organization to achieve its goals and objectives using the resources at its disposal. When an organization subdivides tasks into separate jobs and sees to it that those handling the tasks develop specialized skills over time, task specialization can be said to have taken place. Optimal resource utilization involves the appropriate and meaningful utilization of the available organizational resources to maximize earnings. Profit maximization and cost minimization are two other approaches which could be embraced in an attempt to further enhance the bottom-line. Other factors which could have an impact on the effectiveness of an organization include but they are not limited to employee satisfaction and managerial competence.
