Pandemic Journal
To be honest, the pandemic is only affecting my life in a really limited way. I try not to take any of it too seriously because then I just get really frustrated with how idiotic everything has become. But sometimes I get so annoyed that I find myself ranting and venting to myself. For instance, today on the 19th, I listened to this commentary from Dr. Roger Hodkinson, who is a medical specialist in pathology, which includes virology. He trained at Cambridge University and is the ex-president of the Pathology Section of the Medical Association, and was previously an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine, and was chairman of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada Examination Committee of Pathology in Ottawa, and is currently the chairman of a biotechnology company in North Carolina that manufactures and sells the COVID-19 tests—so, in short, he knows a bit about the subject. And, contrary to the official narrative spewed out by politicians, media outlets and people like Dr. Fauci, he actually says what I think a great many people with common sense are actually thinking. Let me quote his words here, because I think it is great to hear a doctor with such a complete background saying this: “There is utterly unfounded public hysteria driven by the media and politicians, it’s outrageous, this is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.” He goes on to say that testing should stop and should only be done if one is presenting with respiratory problems; that taking vitamin D supplements can greatly reduce the risk of infection among the elderly, and that for the rest of us this will be nothing more than a bad flu. Why we are treating this like it is the Black Plague is beyond him,...…delivered, or I will go through drive thrus, or get groceries delivered. That is the biggest change for me. For a while, the churches were shut down, which I viewed as a major act of cowardice on the church’s part, so that meant that I could not go to church on Sunday with my family. After a while my laziness started feeling really indulged and I almost did not even want the churches to open back up because sleeping in on Sundays felt so nice. But then churches did open up again and so I had to make myself get back in the old habit of going.
I don’t like now that every governor is acting like another deadly wave is upon us. I find the whole charade incredibly insulting to one’s intelligence, just as Dr. Hodkinson does, and if you haven’t heard his rant, go here to hear it.
