Business Plan Organization Overview

Our Day Care Center is a start up company that will provide the full time, part time as well as drop in care for children between 2-month and 8 years old. Our Day Care Center will have a tutoring program that will cater for high income bracket, and provide safe and secure services to take care of the children.

Company's Infrastructure and Information Systems Needs.

The section provides the information systems needs that our Child Care Center will require. To ensure that children are in a secured environment, our Day Care Center personnel will consist of 25 staff and IT specialist who will be managing all our infrastructure and information systems needs. Our infrastructure and IT system for our Day Care Center will consist of CCMS (Child Care Management System) which is online computer system that will record child attendance and enrollment information. (Appendix 1 provides the sample of our CCMS ). Our infrastructures will consist of both software and hardware that will have email, and online features and our IT infrastructures will be able to deliver the following features:

Agency Accounting,

Employee Data,

Payroll,

Accounts Payable.

Our Day Care Center will require information systems that will be developed primarily for the billings of employees, children, parent or guardian. Typically, the information systems we need should be capable of registering and store data of a new child as well as updating information of all children. Using the Child ID tool, the system must be able to search the child first name, and last name. Moreover, the user should be able to add or delete new information from the system.

Moreover, we should be able to carry a search on Employee ID, First Name Last Name, or SIN (Social Insurance Number).
More importantly, the system should be able to narrow whether to search for full time employee or a substitute employee and the system should be able to process employee vacation request. The new system should be able to process workload of each teacher along the information about each classroom. The appendix 1 reveals the prototype of our information systems revealing the child's and parent information.

Be able to store child's information, which includes immunizations and other medical history.

Store child photo as well as parent's photo or photo of a pickup person.

Store address, email and phone numbers of child parent's or pickup person.

Tracking child progress and achievements though our daily log.

Staff Information

Be able to store our staff information which includes their certificates.

Store staff photo.

Store job information, which include employment dates, and work schedule.

Child Attendance

Be able to track a child's attendance.

Attendance schedules that include timesheet hours

Print attendance reports which is able to reveal child counts, children arriving and children leaving.

Child Billing

Automatically able to charge and calculate accounts.

Generate child bills

Automatically Email the child's bills to parents.

Staff Wages

Works out staff payroll.

Print paychecks and calculate payroll taxes.

Automatically generate pay-sheets that include wages, as well as expenses reimbursements.
