Commitment to Self-Improvement Plan
My overarching concentration is to become a Curriculum Director. This is an essential element of the education curriculum and requires continuous self-improvement in leadership, communication, and technology. As I endeavor to accomplish this career goal, a robust and flexible self-improvement plan that resonates with my career progress and future changes in the curriculum is instrumental.
Personal Mission and Vision Statement
Numerous ethical codes govern curriculum development, and the curriculum director is expected to abide by them. Such a milestone requires the integration of personal goals that influence my attitudes, actions, beliefs, and values. My mission statement is to enhance my career path to fit in becoming a curriculum director in the future. This is done by assessing my successes and identifying the areas of development. I will use my inherent skills to shape my career in ways that resonate with curriculum requirements. My vision is to assist learners in realizing their educational goals by offering curriculum guidance following the established standards. I must uphold professional, ethical standards when developing and implementing the curriculum to achieve these. Thus, professional values are indispensable in shaping my career path to becoming a curriculum director.
Professional Values
As a curriculum director, one must possess the necessary professional values and skills to spearhead curriculum development and implementation. This cannot be achieved without appreciating the dynamics in technology and communication, which directly affect leadership. From what we have learned, I recognize that integrity, social justice, professional commitment, and trust are paramount in defining this career path. These are guided by a code of ethics that dictates the upholding of professional standards. In keeping with this knowledge and after assessing personal values in leadership, communication, and technology, I am confident that I possess the prerequisites to serve the role of curriculum director in the future. The surveys analyzed in the last section of this self-improvement plan give my strengths and weaknesses under each of the three spheres. In my quest to improve professional values, the areas of development allow me to reflect on my weaknesses and enhance my strengths to serve education stakeholders better.
Areas of Excellence
Leadership
The curriculum development, implementation, and guiding learners to achieve their goals faced multiple challenges. As indicated in the leadership survey, I am logical and accept challenges in the quest for solutions. As an aspiring curriculum director, this forms one of the key spheres of excellence. I am committed to activating students success which is often overlooked in coaching programs (Pechac & Slantcheva-Durst, 2019, pp. 1-2). The authors note that many students have a low completion rate in education programs for lack of proper mentoring, counseling, advising, and other interventions. For instance, when rolling out a curriculum that focuses on learners with a disability, I will be sensitive to their needs by recognizing that they fall under a different category that requires special attention. As the curriculum director, I will spearhead the process and train educators on how to respond to such needs. Besides, I plan to capitalize on these milestones and provide impactful leadership that motivates learners to embrace various programs. Leadership also calls for collaboration with other stakeholders to produce ongoing learning opportunities (The World Bank, 2021). As a team player, I will continue to enhance my collaboration skills to establish more partnerships, contributing to overall curriculum enhancement as I serve as the director. For instance, curriculum development and implementation require resources. As a result, I will apply my collaboration tools to bring relevant financial institutions to be part of the learning process, contributing to the overall growth.
Communication
As a curriculum director, communication is an essential feature that allows understanding of various needs of learners. In particular, learners with disabilities experience challenges when the curriculum fails to capture their unique needs (Ankam et al., 2019, pp. 781-783). Communication also contributes to the development of consultation services, even in medical education. Indeed, undergraduate medical education is highly influenced by communications skills (Lopez & Campbell, 2020, pp. 1-2). I am an effective communicator who believes in exchanging ideas to enhance service delivery. As indicated in the communication survey, I am interactive, logical, and enthusiastic. These attributes contribute to the enhancement of communication methods as a curriculum leader. Communication enhances collaboration between expertise and educators. As a curriculum director, it will be obliged to use strengths in communication to bring the parties together for the stakeholders benefit. For instance, the process of achieving the objectives of a curriculum requires the participation of all stakeholders. As the curriculum director and an effective communicator, I will initiate communication with all the stakeholders. Besides, I shall enlighten them about the expectations and the responsibility of each of thm. Such initiatives simplify the process of realizing collective goals.
Technology
Technology is instrumental in curriculum development and implementation in the digital age. I possess strong skills in technology and associated interactions, making me well-placed to direct various curriculum-based activities. As indicated in the survey on technology, I am conversant...
Analyses of the Surveys
Technology Survey
Technology survey focuses on technical skills required to enhance learning. Online learning involves competency in computer hardware and software. I am computer literate with strong basic and some advanced computer operations skills. As a result, I can engage with learners and educators through various education platforms, share files and communicate. I am also conversant with numerous applications such as operating systems, networking software, productivity, and graphic tools. These act as enablers of career development in becoming a Curriculum Director. I understand the dynamics in technology, and as a result, I am committed to keeping abreast with innovations that could affect how I execute my future roles.
Communication Survey
Communication is an essential attribute for a curriculum director. As indicated in the communication survey, I possess interactive skills to engage with other education stakeholders, streamlining collaboration. I am consistent, logical, enthusiastic, and understand the differences between a formal and informal communication environment. My concentration is on the formal structures of the curriculum and how to communicate these attributes to learners. This will be based on collected data which could change from time to time. My communication is action-based and sensitive to meeting deadlines. Thus, I will focus on establishing focused and cooperative groups. The feedback I receive from stakeholders is important, enabling me to communicate the right course of action.
Leadership Survey
Technology and communication surveys have a direct effect on my leadership. As shown in the leadership survey, I am a logical leader who loves challenges that convert to exciting ideas. I believe in unlimited possibilities. I achieve these by crafting well-thought-out plans to address problems and assigned tasks. These leadership outcomes are supported by how I integrate technology and communication strategies into my leadership styles.
The scores in the three surveys reveal my real self and how…

Negative feedbacks and criticisms cannot be avoided at this point, especially upon knowing that it is necessary for them to undergo training on how this program will be implemented, including its advantages for them as teachers. When networks are enabled and flourish, their value to all users and to the organization increases as well. That increase in value is typically nonlinear, where some additions yield more than proportionate values to the organization (McCluskey and Korobow, 2009). Although further education teachers employed prior to this date are not required to attain this credentialing, they are being encouraged to do so in order to ensure their status as professional educators (Clancy 2007). There is a push to increase the rigor of the credentialing process for further education teachers as well. In this regard, Thompson recently observed that, "Further education lecturers are already allowed to teach post-16 and post-14
