Medical Marijuana- Many states have legalized marijuana for medical and recreational use and marijuana advocates suggest that it has a number of different medical uses. This essay would explore the established facts about marijuana for medical usage, why the federal government has not legalized medical marijuana, and the impact of the prescription drug industry on those choices. It would also attempt to separate what is proven about marijuana from anecdotal evidence.
Homeopathic Oversight- With so many people touting cures like CBD oil or other essential oils, one of the concerns people have is the lack of oversight. While the FDA is responsible for ensuring the purity of prescription and over-the-counter medications, there is no similar oversight agency for homeopathic remedies. This means that many of them may make unsubstantiated claims, but a more serious concern is that the products may be adulterated. This article would discuss the lack of oversight of homeopathic remedies and how that impacts both their safety and efficacy.
CBD Oil for Pets- As humans embrace CBD oil for a variety of different ailments, it is no surprise that people have suggested it could be useful for pets as well. This article would focus specifically on the use of CBD oil for treating pets, including an examination of any available research and veterinary opinions on the topic.
Drug Testing, Supplements, and Varying State Laws- Currently, U.S. drug laws are experiencing tremendous rates of conflict between the states. Some states continue to outlaw marijuana and all of its by-products, while other states allow the sale of its by-products, allow it for medical use, or have legalized it for recreational use. If Colorado is any example, this may also begin to happen with other substances, such as mushrooms. The result is that people may do something that is legal in one state, but have it flagged as criminal behavior in another state. How do these varying state laws impact people who are subject to routine drug testing, either as a condition of employment or because of some type of legal proceeding? This article would examine the current impact and even suggest some solutions to this apparent conflict.

Introduction
CBD oil has recently become extremely popular. People give anecdotal evidence that CBD oil can have a positive effect on a wide variety of different issues, from anxiety and depression to movement disorders and pain. However, while there is a significant amount of hype surrounding CBD oil, there have not been a significant number of studies on the impact of CBD oil. In addition, there is a substantial amount of misinformation about CBD oil, which can make it hard for people to understand exactly what CBD oil is and how it can be used to enhance health. In order to really decide if CBD oil is an appropriate treatment for a particular individual and a particular ailment you must understand: what CBD oil is; potential benefits of CBD oil; potential side effects of CBD oil; the types of CBD; who can take CBD; and the best types of CBD oils.

A thorough examination of that information will help you understand that, while CBD oil may be derived from marijuana, it does not give users the same high as recreational marijuana usage.
Thesis Statement
Instead, CBD oil seems to provide similar physical and mental results as some prescription drugs, but without the same range of side effects, making it a plausible first line therapy for treatment of mental and physical health challenges in humans and companion animals.
Body
What is CBD Oil?
Cannabidiol (CBD) oil is an extract derived from the marijuana plant. It is a non-intoxicating marijuana extract (Thompson, 2018). However, that does not mean it is inactive. While the cannabis plant produces thousands of compounds, there are two that are most familiar for people: THC (tetrahydrocannobinol) and CBD. THC is the component in marijuana that is responsible for the high feeling that people get when they use it; this ability to make someone experience a high means that THC is psychoactive (Hickok, 2019). CBD does not produce any psychoactive effects, but...…users. While it may be contraindicated for people with particular medications or by those who experience significant side effects, it is generally considered appropriate for use by most people, at least when used in conjunction with advice from a medical professional. However, its use is not limited to humans. Dogs and cats can use cannabis oil to treat a variety of ailments including “seizures, nausea, stress, anxiety, arthritis, back pain, symptoms of cancer, and gastrointestinal issues” (Semigran, 2019). The biggest potential side effect for pet usage is THC toxicity, which basically means that there is a risk that the pet will get “high” if the CBD product chosen has any THC in it. However, if the CBD oil selected does not have THC in it, then the pet will not get high.
Best Type of CBD Oils
Almost every supplier of CBD oils claims to have the best product, but it is difficult to objectively assess that statement. In addition, because of a lack of FDA oversight, purchasing CBD oils can be a buyer-beware scenario. Furthermore, relying on online reviews can be difficult because of a lack of transparency; it is difficult to tell which reviews are genuine user reviews and which reviews may be paid reviews. However, there are some factors that contribute to higher quality CBD. Are the ingredients organic? Are the products lab-tested? Has the CBD oil been CO2 extracted from the cannabis plant? Those are all markers of higher-quality CBD oil. Finally, a consumer can examine the supplier; does the supplier have a reputation for supplying quality products, like Green Roads?
Conclusion
As the stigma against marijuana usage has begun to fade, both through legalization efforts and changing social mores, people are becoming increasingly open to the idea that the cannabis plant may have a positive impact on health. One of the most promising derivatives of the cannabis plant is CBD oil, which is reported to have a positive health impact on a variety of mental and physical health issues, not only for people, but also for pets. Early research backs up some of these claims, though more research is needed to understand what all CBD oil can do, how it works in the body, and its potential side effects and negative reactions with other medications. While CBD oil may not be the miracle cure some of its proponents claim it to be, it might be a great health management strategy when used under a doctor’s supervision.

Legislators and drug enforcers are not physicians and should not substitute their belief system for demonstrable scientific studies showing that medical marijuana does benefit patients. The federal argument often begins with a denial of this, as if any study that suggests there is no benefit is automatically preferred to the hundreds that show there is. The next claim made is that the harm is greater than the curative power, which
