In the end of the poem she has tied together her themes to show that her words do not divide her from her father. As a daughter and author, the poem not only speaks about how her heart is unchanged, it also proves it. She is writing for her father and also reflecting on the power of languages as a whole. Language's should not be seen as a dividing force. One's heart remains the same no matter what language. In this case, her mastery of English will not change her love towards her father as he fears. The true language is what is meant by the words and not whether they are written or spoken in Spanish or English.
