The service I would like my business to primarily provide is backend IT support for companies in need of developing programs, apps, website functionality, security, and so on. The primary vision for this business is to grow into a top-tier backend firm that can boast a long list of satisfied clientele, with whom good working relationships can be maintained over the coming years. As many companies, like Kroger for instance, rely on individual firms to supply backend IT support for long periods of time, this type of work is obtained by establishing firm relationships. The mission of this business is to satisfy clientele so that they want to invest their time and energy in establishing a relationship with my business for years to come.

Strengths: The strengths of this business are its computer coders who have a strong background in Java and numerous other coding scripts. Their knowledge and expertise is what allows the business to grow and take on more projects all over the country. The market is difficult to penetrate from this angle and as a result a unique approach will be required in order to penetrate the market effectively. One way to overcome this weakness is to engage in guerrilla style marketing (Ries & Trout, 1997). This means that the business goes after smaller clientele that larger backend IT support firms are not likely to be interested in. This can help the firm to grow and develop its reputation so that it can gradually gain market share.
Opportunities: Opportunities are abundant in this field as virtually every company requires an online presence today. Some companies are still well behind the curve and these are companies that can be targeted by my business. By marketing the business as customer-friendly and meeting directly with company leaders to pitch the service, the business can get in front of a good many different clients within a specific locale and maximize the opportunities for developing new relationships with these various firms.
