Car repair is the process of diagnosing the car problem to identify the fault within the car. While the cars manufactured before 2000 requires special tools to be repaired, however, the computer technology has been increasingly used to diagnose and repair many newly manufactured cars. Before mechanics start the repairing of cars, they often quote the prices for customers before starting the repairing work. To repair the car, mechanic uses both electronic methods to gather data in order to replace the faulty materials in the vehicle. A mechanic diagnoses the car and identifies the problem within the car before starting the repairing work. There are two approaches used to diagnose a faulty car:

Relying on one's analysis
Use of computer technology
A repair manual is a book that assists an auto mechanic to identify the problems within a car. The repair manual consists of a troubling shooting chart used to repair a car. Typically, advance auto repairing system requires this strategy to repair a car. For example, if the temperature of Astra engine is low, the best step is to look for the thermostat. The usual cause of this problem is that the thermostat is open. Alternatively, if the temperature of engine of Astra is high, the common cause of this problem is that the fan is not running.
With advance in computer technology, some mechanics have started using the computer system to diagnose and repair an automobile. Typically, modern cars rely on advance in computer technology for repairing. The strategy is to use computer system to scan the vehicle, and computer scanning will assist a mechanic to identify the faults within the car.
However, some experienced mechanic uses their intuitions and experience to diagnose the problem and repair the car. Despite the accumulated experience that a mechanic could have accumulated, mechanics are facing challenges to repair new cars. Typically, the car manufacturers are using the latest technology to design new cars. Presently, there electric cars and hybrid cars are now common in the markets, and all these cars require different strategies to repair them.
