I didn't elaborate on the offensive behavior I displayed because I thought it would lead to the letter becoming more personal than business like. Finally, I closed the letter by wishing the recipient the best. Overall, I wanted the letter to sound uncontrived and sincere. As I mentioned, it was my father who helped me compose the letter, so he proofread it as well. Besides, I had already informed the applicant of her interview's outcome. I would mention this to the recruiter the next chance I get, though. I'd also remind them to pre-screen their applicants carefully, especially on the personality criteria, before they forward any application to me.
