Families progress and grow as time continues. People may be at one stage and then move on to another. My family is a nuclear family and as my parents age, I wonder about how their health will get worse over time. The United States in general, has poor food quality and limited economic opportunity. There are political struggles, job struggles that contribute to chronic stress and a potential obesity epidemic.
I guess that my family as well as other American families will have problems concerning chronic health conditions that can be attributed to weight and food quality. Many Americans have nutrient deficiencies that can lead to chronic health problems like heart disease and diabetes. Although the American government attempts to educate people on healthy eating, the cheapest food available is usually heavily processed or laden with chemicals and pesticides. Things like avocados and apples, some of the foods that help with nutrient deficiencies, are too expensive to eat every day.
That needs to change. Accordingly, I saw in the news recently that many foods in the United States have traces of weed killer in it as investigated by the FDA. Weed killer is a harmful pesticide that adversely affects the health of people. Yet, somehow it permeates many foods Americans consume. Even if people try to live healthy, they cannot and end up depressed or feel anxious. This is the world that people live in and it seems problematic.
People need to champion for their rights and their health. Health is the most important thing, and, in the future, I do not see many people being healthy. I see people feeling miserable, experiencing chronic health problems and being unable to pay for expensive medical bills. This is the reality I feel will progress in the future regarding my family and other families.
