Advanced Nursing Roles Sister Calista Roy - Adaptation theory

Adaptation theory is one of the nursing theories that have had a significant impact in the general practice of nursing in the world. Nursing is one of the technical activities and undertakings that need immediate and tedious professionalism. In most cases, nurses are supposed to undergo equitable training and impartation programs that seek to add into their contemporary activities in the society. In order to be able to meet the daily challenges and difficulties posed by the profession, many nurses have engaged in education programs and training. Nursing requires nurse and all the participants to be at the forefront in the management of the available activities. For instance, nursing challenges are everywhere in the society. This means that in order to have a larger scale of performance and maintenance of the nursing standards in the nursing field, nurses, and many other participants should be introduced to the theory of Adaptation. According to Daniels (2010), adaptation involves educational measures that are directed at letting the client be conversant with the practical terms and conditions of the work they are to engage in the profession or the field. The Adaptation theory is used to solve many educational challenges being faced by nurses and other health specialists in the field (Daniels, 2010).

There has been a wide speculation of nursing problems when it comes to implementing equitable terms of performance and service in the nursing education. For instance, education is one of the tedious activities that require appropriate time when it comes to management of the available personnel in the field of nursing. In order to manage the general terms and conditions of service, nursing education has often stood the ground and assured nurses of the appropriate avenues of performance and production in the market. Education is a pillar in any field of growth and development in the society. The different directions and strategies done within education are aimed at improving on the general capabilities of the people within the professions.

In most situations, nursing education has been disregarded for other activities that do not solve the immediate problems and challenges faced by nurse sin the field. For instance, education and delivery of the appropriate measures of performance in the field can only be successful when the right educational procedures and issued and used within the profession (McKenna & Slevin, 2010). There are other different challenges that are directed at meeting the specified needs of the nurses. They happen when it comes to implementation of the appropriate measures of performance in the market. For instance, nursing education has become a challenge since many nurses do not take enough time to have a refreshment of the daily activities that make part of the challenges and difficulties faced in the market.

In order to tackle the entire problem of nursing education in the world, there are specified avenues of performance that are supposed to be introduced to the clients and all the nursing specialists in the field. According to the statement of the Adaptation theory in nursing, there is an immediate need for nurses to be introduced into the appropriate avenues of management and growth in the delivery of the nursing activities and needs in the society. Many other categories of management are related to the general delivery of the nursing education measures in order to cater for the available challenges in the society. For instance, it would be a challenge when the innate measures of performance are directed to accomplish specified roles but failing because an educative base does not exist. Therefore, the general idea of nursing education problem can be done away with the use of the appropriate strategies of introducing and maintaining the stability of Adaptation theory (McKenna & Slevin, 2010).

In order to have all the responsible personnel with adequate skills and avenues of effective performance in the market, it is necessary to have the essential educational skills at their disposal. There has often been a challenge when it comes to ushering the concept of education delivery to the different nurses and other professionals. These are professionals falling in different categories of performance. The categories that bring about diversity in the general management of the nursing ideas are supposed to have immediate knowledge and skill. These technicals are related to the general avenues of performance in the field. Therefore, the entire idea of having a stable environment that caters for the different needs and specifications of members and the clients becomes a challenge.

There is no possible way in which a nurse can engage in...

Education and training are part of the strategic options making the principles and follow programs in any profession. Therefore, education should be validated in all sectors of nursing and many other professions other than nursing. Education should be made to appear and be a rudimentary requirement. Before letting the nurses have adaptation kill, they should be introduced to the facets of service that they will be required to make a habit of them in and outside the field (Parker, 2012). For instance, it does not make sense for a nurse or any other specialist to strive to live within the requirement of the profession and yet fail to be a pillar in nursing education. Therefore, many strategic options are directed at relaying the best approaches of growth and development in the nursing profession just like any other nursing idea in the society. The ideals of education are introduced to the professional through different avenues of performance in the society. For instance, there are different scales of performance that should be directed to the general nursing education in order to have a sensible avenue of relaying the best of the strategies in the field.
Several scenarios make or illustrate on how challenges and problems can be experienced within the nursing profession as concerns delivery of education in the field. In some situations, a nurse educator is assigned to take over a large class of undergraduate nursing students, with a mix of young adults and adults returning for a second degree. The subject is difficult; students have not been doing well because frustration and tempers are impediments to their group work.

Regulations and nursing standards refer to Adaptation theory guidelines, which nurses ascribe to in the line of duty. Nursing is a profession mired by regulatory ethical standards that need educative measures for equitable management. These regulations match from care of patients to nurse behaviors and operations within the nursing profession. For instance, the aim of Adaptation theory is to advance my nursing profession at the entire field of nursing and professionalism (Parker, 2012). Through the application of the principles of Adaptation theory, every nurse needs to be well acquainted with these codes of education in the field. According to Adaptation theory, One of the nursing ethical regulations is, "the nurse's primary commitment is to the patient, whether an individual, family, group or community." This theory is quite applicatory in many professions as coded in the American Nurses Association ANA. On my comments, this regulation acts like a commitment or guideline to all nurses as they attend to patients. Such a regulation is effective and tangible to handle at a place of work.

Implications of Adaptation theory on nursing education challenges

The Adaptation theory regulation has always had its implications on the avenues of nursing education. For instance, many nurses find this regulation wholesome as it is quite inclusive of every detail as pertaining nurses and patients together with their effectiveness while in the field of performance. Nurses may not possibly embrace other duties or responsibilities while executing their nursing activities especially when their education level is questionable. A few nurses have had this regulation hard to fulfill. However, almost all nurses have had positive contributions towards this regulation. It is necessary to respond to all patients no matter their current situations. This should be applied when dealing with offering educational terms and condition in the field. This is one booster towards saving and breeding healthy lives among patients. Adaptation theory issues serve to protect and provide patients with the right atmosphere and service as they bid to get relieved of their sufferings.

Although the ethical issues have been a bother to many nurses, they serve to protect even the rights of the nurses themselves. These regulations apply even to the physicians. In this case, a physician can have the authority to make decisions based on what is best for the patient and with regard to the patient's preference (Parker, 2012). The nurse/physician should enforce every directive given on behalf of the patient. Complications and issues arise when the patient cannot take directives from the uneducated physicians. This calls for further consolidations with the patient. Furthermore, patients might not authoritatively state what they wish. The physician or nurse is to provide a cover up that will facilitate his/her health.

The health insurance portability accountability act (HIPAA) ensures that both patient's and nurse/physician's health as the Adaptation theory reiterates. In the case…
