The importance of a strong opening and closing, practicing, staying organized and focused and taking the stage with confidence are skills that I continue to apply in my class presentations. At times my classes, especially the General Education classes, have been quite challenging. It is through this kind of individualized approach, I believe, that higher education is particularly relevant to personal and professional growth. I believe that college education relies on taking an active interest in learning, but also in being able to receive the information that professors transmit to their students.
I am an artist. My whole life has been very focused on creating art and teaching others how to create art. College education has improved the quality of my art and improved my effectiveness as a teacher. My bachelor degree at Charter Oak State College is just the beginning. I will continue, as a graduate student and college professor.
